this is an insane asking price. like the other poster said, you can get a 2g 8gb iphone off craigslist or even ebay for 200-250. the unlocking is extremely simple. there's just a simple program called quickpwn you need to download, and just hook it up to your computer. follow the instructions and it'll do the rest. this would allow any t-mobile user to use the iphone.
The ones that are going for 200-250 have cracked screens or dents and scratches. Or they are smaller size drive iphones. There is no listing on craigslist or ebay that beats a brand new iphone at that price. And this listing is for people wanting to pay the premium for a new and unlocked iphone. There are people out there who like to buy certain things new.
those are insane asking prices. the phones are worth 300 tops, i'd say. unlocking it takes 5-10mins and is super easy, i dont think the fact that it's unlocked merits the price. here's one for about 300 bucks, same condition as yours apparently: http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/995895578.html
Oh really? I got my unlocked Iphone over 6 months ago off eBay. I paid $280 for it with all the accessories and box and it even came with those $40 Iphone headphones. It was in absolutely perfect condition even though it was used for 6 months. I even had my phone lock up after downloading firmware 2.2, but with quickpwn I was up and running again in less than 5 minutes. Keep in mind that was over 6 months ago. Today, Tmobile customers can get the Google phone for less than $200 with 2 year commitment. Most Tmobile customers will opt for that deal. You're not left with that many carriers (Verizon is the only one I can think of and they have some pretty nice Blackberry phones). I'm also sure every AT&T customer would rather pay half the price of what you're offering and get the 3g Iphone. Anyways, best of luck.
Dude, thats one of those scammer postings. If you can't see that, well then I hope you dont buy much stuff off Craigslist.
Was it an 8gb model? Good price and Id have to say you got lucky there. Glad to hear it was in great condition after 6 months, but like I said, some people just want new products. For something like cell phones a person could have a case on it the entire time but have dropped it like 10 times before they sell it to you. Sure there is no physical damage on the outside, but who knows what the effects will be on the hardware later on? Like I said, look at ebay and craigslist now and show me legit postings where my prices can be beat. And then I will accept defeat, but there is no one selling these phones without contract unlocked and brand new at the price I have it at. These prices are basically a wholesaler's price and I am selling individually. No one seems to be interested except coming in here talking about buying used iphones for cheaper. This thread is not for people who want a USED iphone. That simple. It's this damn recession
It was the 8 gig. Best part was the guy lived in Sugar Land so I did local pick up. He showed me his new 3G and that's why he was getting rid of the 2G. So I did get lucky, but I have bought all my phones like that off eBay and have never had any problems. Also keep in mind that this is Clutchfans. People aren't even willing to spend 20 bucks on Rockets tickets (which is why I didn't even bother and got rid of mine for free) You'll get more success off eBay, and if you're worried just add a minimum reserve.
