No mention of our starters missing should've told you all you need to know. Don't worry though, the good analysts like Jalen Rose & Chris Webber know what's up, don't really care one way or the other though.
I was amazed at how thoroughly TNT discounted and ignored the Rockets. I'm not sure they even mentioned T. Jones until the second half, after all the talk of starters being out. Bev was disrespected. No one mentioned our win streak against the Spurs until about 1 in the morning.

Whats puzzling to me is they thought the Mavericks and Blazers games was going to be dawg fight (good game) And Portland blew the Mavericks out. Kenny Smith had the nervse to say, " The Mavericks will be back". LOL They use to be pretty good but now they only support and talk about who they think will be a contender.
It's just how the media works. At this point in the season, you are who the offsesason says you were. Although everyone would agree Parsons is not a max contract guy, Houston looks like the loser because Cuban managed to overpay for a guy who was once one of the best values in the league(before getting max contract). Houston lost to Miami for competing for the services of Chris Bosh so therefore they are the losers. They let Asik & Lin go to make room for Bosh - a move that would have been widely praised had they managed to get Bosh...but since they lost them, they are the losers. ....so in the media's eye we lost this offseason and that's how we will be viewed until probably December/January when the media has to figure out what the narrative will be for the rest of the season. Maybe then we will get recognized for being a decent team and we will carry the title of one of the "surprising teams" of the last half of the year.
It was a bit weird that the TNT crew in the studio didn't mention the Rockets crushing the Spurs immediately after the game. You would have thought that there wasn't a game before Portland/Dallas. That won't continue all season, or the TNT talking heads will be viewed with ridicule. More than they are already, at any rate. I could care less about who they babble is the best in the league, best in the conference, best in our division. Our record does and will speak for itself, good or bad. What I do care about is being ignored.
well, they were the only team to take the spurs to 7 games last year and their roster got better this year.

Those TNT fools are so mad when the rockets are winning. When the rockets were losing, they were happy, and joking around. What kind of uneducated people display on the TV. We all know Les owned that fool for $3M technically? But this is a show for the NBA fans, not for hating. What a embarrassing!
Over 82 games + play-offs Marion and Carter contributed greatly to many games. Their absence is surprisingly forgotten. And Mavs are decidedly weaker at the 1. Chandler the big is a hurt waiting to happen. Chandler the medium was a nice, albeit expensive, p/u. I'm not sold that these Mavs are better than today's Rox. Not sold at all.
We are not the underdog, the ESPN people pick us at no.1 or 2 right now, could be the top 4 in the end.
You know what I can't figure out? Why the hell anyone with their own brain really gives a dead rat's ass what those clowns think? I don't care that they played and have a couple top 50 players, that does not mean that their opinions(misinformed ones at that since you know they don't actually watch the games) are any better than a smart basketball fans opinions. I learned a LONG time ago, Rockets wont get publicity or any sort of hyping from national sports media....and the quicker you younguns get that thru your head and deal with it the better for you and the better for us who have to read your whining.
We are also supposed to be worse due to losing 3 "starters" as well in Asik, Parsons and lin. That's the whole reason the media says we are not a top tier team. Yet, here we are beating teams senseless ON THE ROAD, BACK TO BACK GAMES. Beating Miami. Beating the spurs. And now all of a sudden... Media says we were suppose to beat all those teams. Yadda yadda yadda... The media will make up stories to make us look terrible in any situation, win or lose. Screw what they say. We are just gonna have to win the whole D**n thing!
