How all of a sudden has his shot improved so much after leaving Houston? I've watched him play & it baffles me how now all of a sudden he is that much more consistent with the Magic. It seems like this happens on a very consistent basis especially when they play us. The players get traded, passed in the draft by us, or let go in FA and they torch us. Again WTF?
Oh, Man come on. Rafer is not a Rocket. He is streaky. Remember the 22 game winning streak last year? He was shooting lights out but this year he stunk. Your gunna get flamed. Prepare yourself.
Memphis can perhaps say the same thing about Kyle Lowry. Or you just happen to only watch his good games. Many factors can attribute to your observation. But to me, Rafer is the same old Rafer.
Your grip on reality is vastly overrated. http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=11 sub 40 FG%, and 34% from 3 in the playoffs. I agree, he's been torching in since moving to the East. IBTL
He's not really shooting much better. His 3PT% is down almost as much as his FG% is up...and his FT% dropped nearly 9 percentage points. It looks like he's probably just getting more layups, although he's still shooting just 38.5% for the playoffs.
His tear drop is extremely inconsistent, as is his 3-point shot, and he doesn't have anything in between. You know what you can expect from Rafer, and that's pretty much what he's giving the Magic. He's not a bad ballplayer; he was a big factor in our last Utah series.. people just don't give him enough credit.
As I watched every single game of the Cavs vs. Magic series, I literally was thanking god the whole time that we got rid of this guy.. I love him to death, awesome personality, but my god! does he stink or what? those god awful floaters, those bricks he throws up, the endless dribbling (we have Artest to do that for us now ) .. but yeah, I don't miss him.. NOT. ONE. BIT... good riddance, and I love BrooLowry
There is no siginficant change in any of his numbers since joining the Magic. He's almost exactly what he was while with us and what he will be going forward. You're just imagining any differences. Just look at his technique. It's the same awkward right to left and back to the right sweeping motion before the release.
even in houston, rafer will have 2 good games in 10 games. XD i am not sure how many magic's game you have seen. but rafer is still the old rafer. btw, i want magic and nugget can play in final. ^^
He shot better in clutch time here. His point often are very crucial here and there. That's why he always draw many attentions from fans.
Well he is not like the fifth option in Orlando, so all of the pressure has been taken off of him. In Houston, he was the third, but mostly the second (because of injuries to Yao and TMAC).
You've got to be kidding me. He's shooting 36% against the Cavs and he shot 33% against the Celtics. He shot 38% for the season which is his career average. I guess that is consistent if you think about it.
it' s the same shot all the time the problem is that we don't have him and most of ours are looking the good things about him now
Yep I'm Sure Rafer would have come up with Huge games in games 4 and 6 to give the Rockets a chance against the Lakers.
