check this craigslist out already http://houston.craigslist.org/tix/1980081829.html $250 a piece for baseline upper level???? eek! Dang, we'll probably have a huge turnout for the Red Rowdy tryouts now.
LOL - someone just learned a little about supply and demand. The Rockets were using the Miami tickets as a major carrot in their season ticket packages. Scalpers and brokers were obviously going to go nuts chasing those tickets. As much as everyone loves to dog them out, the Heat are the most hotly anticipated team in decades.
you may be laughing at the outrageous prices now, but wait till december. THere are a lot of people at home for holidays with nothing to do. These prices now will seem low.
Here's the crazy thing... I just now went to the tix website and clicked on "best available".. it gave me section 114 Row B for $300/piece! I selected the SAME section (114 this time got Row G) for the Washington game at $110/piece! Can they do that?? That's BS that the Rockets Organization would nearly TRIPLE the price for the Miami game! But makes sense from a business stand point. High Demand will bring in HIGH profits.
I was given seats in 114 row B from someone who left at half time. I was given access to the Woodforest Club with wristbands. Daryl Morey was in there when I went in at half time.
No it really wasn't awesome. Another rowdy and I walked in, a whole bunch of business people were drinking while we just stood there, we thought "well this is awkward" then walked out. Then the other rowdy said to me "Daryl Morey was in there, he was staring at us, or probably you because of your spacesuit." So really, I didn't see him. I prefer the Lexus lounge over the woodforest club because of the open space and the pool tables which I've never used. I ran into clyde drexler in the Lexus lounge once, but really I think the woodforest club and lexus lounge are overrated. You can't see the court from there and nothing is free in them. I guess it's kind of cool to watch the players run by, but that's about it. I wish it was more like a Continental presidents club lounge at airports (with all the free drinks and snacks) or at least offer some of the same foods they put in suites for free. lol.
Actually every game is graded A-D (If I'm not mistaken) and the prices and availability is dependent on that designation. I'm not a season ticket holder but I work at a small business and last season we pretty much got an offer for every game that was C-D. Its not so great when they're not playing great (like last season) but in other seasons its been surprising the games that get the lower designation. Pretty much every Utah game, Denver, and Pheonix. My point is if you really follow the NBA and want to watch a good match up you can get some great deals. If you're just interested in seeing stars then you have to pay the premium.
Here's a tip guys. The Rockets and most other team hold tickets back for these games for Season, and partial Season ticket sales. If you want tickets to these games you can either wit till the game is closer and ticket may be released, or get a partial season ticket. It's not a hard concept to understand. This happens every year and it always will. Your friendly former Rockets Exec.
ha, I've meet you before when did you end up leaving? I remember I met you I think the first year I got season tickets during the 06-07 season
Well the miami heat ticket staff only can sell the tickets in Miami, so they can only sell 41 games in Miami. They cant sell the tickets of other arena.
if you want a good deal on rockets tickets go to theticketexperience.com Will be cheaper than the rockets for almost every game. Less than season ticket holder cost for more than half the games!
And by gay I mean straight. I have used them many times. Sometimes they'll have last minute deals as well. I sat third row last year for $50 a pop.
