    Some of that pre 90s disregard for human well being in boxing type stuff. Not saying this is on par with Haglar vs Hearns or rope a dope. Not the smartest move health wise but def has the heart to win at all cost.

    I think its a clever option by the Lakers to try to get rid of that player option that World Peace has for next season, and MWP is crazy enough to go through with it

    Hearing Artest's explanation, I'm not so worried for him. He says the knee heals quickly, but it's the inflammation that causes the long layoff. He didn't have inflammation, so he's good to go. I might worry a little about why his body didn't react to the surgery with inflammation, but it sounds like his knee is good to go.

    Besides which, he's getting long in the tooth, and the Lakers are bound for significant restructuring this offseason. This might be the last shot he gets at the playoffs, and he doesn't have a lot of future earnings on the line either. So, the gamble is a bit more justified for him than it would be for a younger man (like Rose) who still has a lot to lose.

    HGH is a helluva drug.

    Just ask AP or RGIII or any other athlete who comes back way early from a major surgery.

    Hell, I seriously don't know why they don't allow it if it helps you to heal faster

    Is it natural for an injury to heal in 2 weeks when it is supposed to take at least 6 weeks?

    Won-won isn't an idiot, just a little unbalanced. To be honest, he probably knows his career is winding down and plans to retire within the next few years anyway.
