the more and more i google.. the more i'm starting to believe... http://www.911truth.org/article.php?story=20060405112622982 check out this documentary - "9/11: The Myth & the Reality"
Being sarcastic?...can't tell. Flight 77 plane debris was all over the Pentagon site. http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html?page=6
the 'source' was a leaked memo from a meeting b/t bush and tony blair in january 2003. do you consider stuff like this an attempt at 'cover-up' or 'falsification'?
the manhattan project had hundreds if not thousands working on it and it was kept secret for years. most polls over the years show anywhere from 25% to 30% believing the government was involved and that percentage goes over 50% when the question is if you believe the government is lying or covering up what happened. (there was a similar thread on this very topic last month so im just copying and pasting my thoughts from that thread). actually, many of the victims family members are some of the most vocal as far as believing the government was involved. its alex jones, so take it for what it is, but he interviewed bill doyle, who heads a group called coalition of 9/11 families - this guy lost his son and believes the government was responsible. i really dont care to get into an argument over the content and specifics of his claims, i just want to point out the fallacy of saying that believing the government is responsible is disrespectful to the victims. this guy lost his son and heads the largest victims family group (at least in 2006) and believes the government was involved. http://www.prisonplanet.com/article...ntcomplicit.htm if alex jones isnt to your liking, first i understand, and two, here is another article. again, i dont care to get into the specifics - just want to point out that many of the victims families are the most vocal 'truthers'. http://georgewashington.blogspot.co...ition-with.html
If this is something that can really be proved then yes. I'm sure throughout history the US government and other "good" governments have contemplated some evil scenarios (I remember the link you posted about Cuba). There's too many people involved and too many eyes around the world for these scenarios to take place.
our government has done a hell of alot more than 'contemplated' this kind of stuff. we have a pretty solid track record when it comes to covertly overthrowing democratically elected regimes and installing brutal dictators when it suits our needs (or rather the needs of the people who own our politicians). EDIT: like the last 9/11 thread, why the hell is this still in the hangout?
There is a big difference between downtown Manhattan and rural New Mexico along with the US in the midst of a war where radio and newspaper were the only newservices and the US at peace with 24 hour cable news outlets and the internet. And polls often show a significant amount of the public believe in things like that the Earth is only 6,000 years old. I have no doubt that many of the families believe the government had something to do with this. With all due respect to those grieving I suspect it is often easier to believe that such a monumental tragedy was the result of a malicious conspiracy by powerful forces rather than the actions of a few individuals who got very lucky while authorities acted ineptly. In many ways belief in a powerful conspiracy is more comforting in the sense that these things aren't seemingly just accidents of circumstance. That giant buildings don't crash down because of the actions of a few men with box cutters but are the work of unseen but powerful forces.

I confess. It was me. But I don't have a SSN and I live in a bunker in Oklahoma (maybe) so they can never track me. bwuhahaha!
For those of you that wanted to know what really happened, I gave you the basic gist of it. At least you know now. Forget about the rest.
LOL. You can believe whatever you want but don't act as if you know more "truth" than anyone else. You were in middle school when 9/11 occurred, no?

but my point was that it is possible for large #'s of people to work on a massive project and not know whats going on, ie: the big picture - the concept of 'compartmentalization'. my point there was simply to point out that even if you think these people are 'loons', 75-100 million americans hardly constitutes a 'fringe'. im guessing a similar percentage of americans believe that the earth is about 6k years old and i would scoff at the notion, but i would hardly call it a fringe line of thought. and my point there was to point out the fallacy in claiming that not believing the official story is disrespectful to the victims families - it appears that many of them believe it as well, so are they disrespecting themselves?
Also, anyone who is debating whether the plane hit the pentagon.... This thread is full of win: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread541460/pg1 Also, this picture is pretty telling.
