Normally, I would give anyone credit for selling off an unused asset like that to save the government money. The problem arises when you do the eqivalent of saying that you fed a homeless man but neglect to say that you where just around when someone else was actually the one that made the food and gave it to the man. I know it's not an exact scenario, but the point is that when you exaggerate your accomplishments, they become lies even if the real truth was a good thing.
