Yeah, I had a co-worker I'd ride to work with sometimes who lived in LIttle Elm for a couple of years around 2003. Eldorado was a 2 lane road in Frisco at the time. It would take him over 25-30 mins just to drive from the Tollway to just across 423. That's about 2-3 mile drive. The rest of the drive to work was about 40 mins. He gave up, sold the house, and moved to Sachse back around 2004 or 2005. Of course that drive became a nightmare as the Sachse/Wylie area blew up and 190/George Bush needed to be expanded so he went from one hell to another. Meanwhile they expanded Eldorado and I gave him grief over that. But now it's pretty much traffic everywhere. It sucks. I can't wait to get away. lol.

There's always a hot place. It was the Heights/Montrose and local Ward areas 20 years ago. That was a lot of fun.

Clarksville is where we started searching as my Father retired there. Have been primarily now been looking around the Russellville area. Fayetteville and Hot Springs area is on the list but those areas as mentioned are getting pretty pricy for their markets but the views and outdoors is remarkable. Main reason looking in these areas are accessibility to high speed internet and Select Baseball programs for the kid to continue his growth. He currently plays on a national team and would hate to see him have to play at a lower competitive level. Currently thinking of pulling the trigger around May if the right property materializes and the stars line up. The thought of saving 35-40K a year between property taxes and house payment is very appealing. the kid making starting QB for his Jr High team, just makes things seem like it might get further away, but if he can make it in a 6A school district I'm sure he will succeed in the 3-4A districts there.

Yeah, I've been through Russellville and Clarksville a few times on the way to Memphis/Nashville. I used to go to the Fort Smith/Alma/Van Buren area and Fayettville/Bentonville/Rogers area a few times a year just to get away from big cities.
