It is mandatory for local sportswriters/columnists to write a piece about how Lebron should join the hometown team each time Lebron James plays a road game. If in NY or NJ, it is mandatory for at least 2 pieces to be written.
Is this realistic? No. Is it a pipe dream? Of course. For as much as Richie gets on my nerves, he makes valid points and I like that he did this. Of course he would be a great addition to the Rockets, so I'm ok with a little dreaming. Rockets don't have the cap space but stranger things have happened. That being said we are 99.99% sure it won't happen. Hey wait, Didn't Roger Clemens say he was 99.99% retired? I know totally different scenario
Wont happen in mill years Plus I think we will have chemistry problems with him in cleavland everybody kisses his ass wont happen here .. plus all the **** his doing on the bench trying so hard to create a swagger just silliness .. thats what it is ..
Was it Justice or was it Feigen who intimated that Morey might be after bigger game than Bosh? At that time I assumed the reference might be Chris Paul. And maybe it is, maybe it is. New Orleans' team is hemorrhaeging money. You never know with Morey, and you shouldn't; he can't give away what he might have up his sleeve, under the table, behind the curtain, behind my ear, whatever. And I know it's a long shot, but, isn't this team built to add a LeBron? Not that any team would turn him down if he said "sign me up", but his own teammates are either long in the tooth or semi-lame, with the exception of one or two. Now, a team with a scoring point guard in Aaron, a defensive PG in Kyle, an improving Ariza, Landry, Budinger, Hayes, the return of Yao.... Add LeBron's passing and scoring.... I don't mention Scola or Battier because that would be the sticking point. Scola is due a major pay raise, Battier makes around 7 million next year. If they could be traded for expirings and picks, then you might have a shot at LeBron. Otherwise, Morey, make that midseason trade for one of 2010's prize players.
That wasn't one of Justice's edgier columns. Was more straight forward, general public style for those only reading the article because 'Lebron' was in the headline. Kinda like when Kobe comes to town, probably a few more eyeballs in the Sports section today.
He's heading there alright. Give him three years and tell me he isn't a starting key player on a team.
You are giving Dick too much credit if you actually think he does his NBA homework. Tomorrow he will write an article ripping the organization...just to stay consistent
wade will? wade would rather stay in miami or go home to chicago.... wade and rose backcourt would be ridiculous
Pretty much. You could offer him the MLE for 1 year and then promise to re-sign him at max via bird rights the following year while still giving him the option to go elsewhere, but promises are hollow.
Last time the Cavs were in Dallas Mark Cuban wrote a similar article in his blog. Here's a couple of the more memorable quotes: "With you, Dirk, Josh, Jason, and Joey on our team, we will be front-runners to win the title." "I'm rich as hell. Take a smaller contract and then we may or may not work something out on the side. LOL. JK. Or am I?" "If you win me a title, I will fellate you."
