I did salvia last weekend. What I remember about it: my friends would talk to me, but I kept laughing because the words they were saying were coming out of their mouths. Almost like a comic book. Then, it sounded like they were singing, but I wasn't sure. Haha!
While there can be precautions taken with hallucinogens, I feel they're dangerous, still. Anything that makes you lose your sense of reality and control over yourself is harmful, whether it's to your brain and body or to others.
Smoking increases airway resistance in the lungs, it lowers oxygen absorption by the blood, and it reduces physical endurance. Athletes need healthy lungs to pull as much oxygen as possible out of the air around them. Oxygen is transferred in the lungs to the blood, which then transports it to working muscles. The muscles need the oxygen to produce energy. By constricting the airways in the lungs and lowering blood absorption of oxygen, the muscles are supplied less of what they need to do their job. This diminishes performance, adds to fatigue and decreases endurance.
and for the overly health conscious smokers there is always a vaporizer to even further lessen the harmful effects of intaking the herb of your choice
From your own article... "So, to recap: mar1juana is more likely to cause "airflow obstruction," while tobacco is more likely to cause emphysema and lung cancer. You tell me which one is 5 times worse." "Airflow obstruction" is not conducive to good basketball.
There are also brownies! People like to say that mar1juana kills your brain cells. It doesn't. It's the smoke that kills your brain cells.
...and cornbread, rice crispy squares, cookies, tinctures....etc They're putting it in anything and everything these days. I have a bottle of reef cola and a bottle of enhanced green tea in the fridge.
come on man...you get the point We have been told from as early as elementary school that smoking weed will stop you from being a successful person in life, its safe to say that by now we all know that countless musicians, athletes, doctors, lawyers everyday joes use mar1juana...didn't hurt them its amazing how oblivious to the truth so many people are on the subject...again I am not saying everyone should smoke, I'm just saying that throwing out ridiculous claims about how weed is bad won't get you anywhere with someone who has done there homework on the topic... I halfway understand the people who stand by our laws and refuse to use because its illegal and I definitely understand those who have tried it and don't care for its effects...but beyond that you are ignoring facts and believing in the bs that has been served up to you your whole life For what its worth, I really recommend the documentary...The Union: The Business Behind Getting High, for all those who haven't seen it...smokers and anti-smokers alike... there is no way you can watch this and not learn a thing or two.... gives the history of the laws, how and why they were made and how nearly every government sanctioned study found no real negative effects to health and yet was ignored... along with the staggering amount of money that could be generated from legalization and taxation...and they aren't just interviewing average joes in this one.... doctors, economists, lawyers, ex dea agents....it will open your eyes
last bit from me... If you are REALLY interested in this stuff the book Marihuana Reconsidered by Dr. Lester Grinspoon is an excellent read
Just to be clear, mar1juana and salvia have about as much to do with one another as beer and angel dust.
salvia sounds like a bad trip from what the op posted. i dont like the fact that you start running around and have no memory of your actions. at least lsd and shrooms you're still somewhat grounded and it's possible to lay back and have a head trip only. it sounds intriguing nevertheless. something close to peyote (mescaline). a lot of fire and death. i would still want to wait and see what kind of damage it does to your brain before trying it. although it may not be worse than mdma. nice post op. if you happen to try tripping again, remember to be in a more controlled environment with failsafe happy soothing music. i used to trip to pretty dark music but always had some really euphonic pop or r&b music handy in case my trip went a little awry. always helped me control my trip. christian music used to help too, but i always ended up wasting some trips praying to God and asking for forgiveness and guidance in saving the world. nothing scarier than that. bad music and a mono revival? no thanks.
