I saw a few reports on Odom not being with the team and was wondering that if they reached a buyout, would you guys want him in a Rox uni? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-rumors-wont-bring-fallen-star-back-to-lakers
Didn't know that was a bleacher report link, here's one to Sporting News, slightly better source. http://aol.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2012-02-28/dallas-mavericks-lamar-odom-nba-lakers-trade-rumors
And just saw this. Not saying that he is, but the guy played well in LA and is a versatile 3/4 that can move the ball, defend (somewhat), and also take it to the rack. He is playing behind a few players in Dallas, Marion, Dirk, and Carter so his minutes haven't been that high plus the system probably doesn't fit well with the player type of situation. Just sayin, if he comes on the cheap why not? The guy still has some good ball ahead of him. Not saying that I'll be heartbroken if Morey doesn't go after him if he doesn't reach a buyout with Dallas.
Because we already have too many forwards on the roster and most of them are better than Lamar freaking Odom.
Hell yes. Would be a nice fit in this offensive system and a better rebounder than all of our PFs. Trade 09ers for him IMO
Well, yeah, if he's cheap and he wants to play here, we have to go for him. I don't think either is the case--if we got him he would be an expensive guy who doesn't play well. That's all he is in Dallas right now.
This would be a obvious no if our coach didn't like to play small but I can honestly Odom can ball and would much rather have a combo fowards of Odom and Parsons then Scola...think about it
Imagine if we some how got Odom and traded for Gasol and then next thing you know we have what made the Lakers deadly in the playoffs the last couple of season LENGTH and the question is would they be able to contribute or are they damaged goods Our bench is good Dally Gasol Odom and or Parsons Martin and or Lee Lowry and or Dragic
Would rather have Scola than Odom, at least Scola is still over 10 PER Would rather have Patterson on the floor than either of them
Question: If this guy won't produce for a team like the Mavs who are coming off an NBA title season, just what makes you believe that he'll want to play for the Rockets? Mavs won't buy Odom out as that would mean that he would count $4M in dead salary cap for this year and the next. And since they intend to make a play for D Williams (and D Howard) next year, having $4M in dead cap money makes no sense so I expect them to let this play out and release him at season's end and clear up $8M in cap space. It's abundantly clear that Odom is still sulking over his getting traded but didn't he ask for it? Anyway, I get a chuckle every day listening to the Dallas radio talking heads slam his "sorry a**" on a daily basis.

10 per for now...I like Scola he has his uses but a guy like Odom who can really run the floor and handle the ball if need be with his size and can that can pass...and a decent defender. Scola is a below average defender can't dribble the ball without turning it over he just doesn't rebound like he used to. I love Patterson as much anyone but a guy like odom a point forward are hard to find.
This I like......A LOT!! Keep Howard on the line cause im sure we will have his attention then... just imagine....(hazzy fog clears!!)...... Howard Gasol Odom Lee (Martin gone) Lowry (if not traded for Williams or in Howard sign and trade) Love it man!
