Horry is not a HOF player - its not that hard to figure out

If there was a role player Hall of Fame, then yes, I would vote him in.

He's a guy who quite frankly had the physical skills to a greater player than he was but he did not apply himself nor ever developed his game. That's not Hall of Fame material.

Horry will get some HOF votes from some writers who have agendas to support. At the end of the day though, it goes against the true definition of a HOF player which has already been defined by the previous players voted in.

This is a basketball HOF. Now if Horry was a two time all american in college, won a NC, then had his NBA career, and then gets into coaching and won a championship as a coach, then yes, an argumetn can be made, since the HOF takes into account an entire basketball career. But just on the merits of his NBA career, its absurd.

Amazing how many people on this board lack the hoop snaps to realize that Horry is a lock for the HOF. Only the Rockets would have won their championships without Horry, but it would have been much more difficult. The Lakers and Spurs wouldn't have won a single ring without the intangibles Horry brings to the table. Even when Horry wasn't winning championships he was doing the little things like throwing a towel in the face of that little b**** Danny Ainge. Too many PER stat junkies missing the big picture -- remember the big picture is not a paint by the numbers operation.

So if the spurs and lakers would have zero rings, even though the spurs won w/o horry as well as with him, who would have won those 7 titles that the spurs/lakers shared?

This is all part of Horry's grand plan for NBA immortality -- a mystery wrapped in a riddle surrounded by an enigma. On each continent a ring was hidden with a clue that will save mankind from the end times predicted by the Mayans to reach finality on 2012.

Horry has collected the rings -- he needs only the 8th and final piece of the puzzle from the hidden continent of Atlantis to complete his quest and save our planet from destruction.

I think it would be the other way around. We may have not won with out horry. I'm not missing any snap bro, but I can look at it with reality. Ok, I'll compromise. Horry goes into the couple of big shots HoF, or the coat tail riding HoF.

If you were a box of Rice Crispies you would only crackle and pop -- cause ya got no snaps.

pretty typical responce from someone who'd vote horry in, a moronic random statement that has nothing to do with the question

More like specializes in coattail riding.

Does Tiger Woods caddy belong in a golf hall of fame? Adam Vinitari in the pro football hall of fame because of a few clutch kicks his team/stars put him in a position to execute? Just being able to stay calm and execute normal bb plays in difficult circumstances does not make you a HOF--even if it a nice attribute for your #4 or #5 player to have.

Ok, sticking to baskteball, how about Steve Kerr then, or if D Fish gets 1-2 more? Of course not.

Of course this is a totally silly poll. Cheap Shot Bob will not get in the HOF. All we have to do is remember in his prime (97?) when he was Detlef Schrimps biatch, who in turn was Scottie Pippen's biatch. Even at his best he is couple levels below all-star, let alone HOF, level.

Weak response from a one trick pony league baseball fan - misspelled words, childish name calling -- clearly no knowledge of the insider hoop world.

I think Robert Horry should be inducted only if Tom Sanders and Jim Loscutoff are also inducted.

this will technically be the 3rd round.

he's ALWAYS BEEN PAST the 1st ROUND, he's made to the 2nd Round..

EVERY SINGLE YEAR in his entire career.

16 STRAIGHT YEARS..past the 1st round of the playoffs.

1991-92 Season, the Rockets didn't make the playoffs.
Then we got the lottery and we picked Robert Horry over Harold Miner (the next jordan).

The year with Horry we made the playoffs, past the first round, and almost the 2nd.

    then you know what happened.

Yeah. We Rocket fans were lucky to get Horry.
