dumbest poll ever, of course Horry should not be in the HoF he sucks in the regular season, which is where you need to be consistent to be a HoFer
No way in hell. He was an ok type player who hit big shots, but not an HOF type player. Most HOF players are players you can build a team around and we all know thats not Horry.
Most cluch SF to ever play the game? i'm sorry did you miss the memo about this pretty good white guy that played in boston?
agreed, i put the poll because a few people think its a no brainer he should be in and apperently i'm not a true fan for saying he's not a HOF
no you're not a true fan because: 1. the original thread was a CELEBRATION for Horry passing Kareem's ALL TIME game record 2. you go on that CELEBRATION THREAD and pull up this HOF BS so you can have a reason to hate and throw off the excitement of all the Horry fans 3. you compared him to SAR. I'll NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THAT. SAR sucks. That's like comparing Yao Ming to Shawn Bradley. 4. you make this thread to secretly spread more hate. 5. Real fans want GLORY for All legends of the Rudy T Champions! History books will be rewritten to show that those guys were special and unique and most importantly HEROES.
You know thats how some people are on this board(tinman)if you say something bad of a Rockets player or just something they don't like that mean you're not a true fan. I've been called not a true fan a few times, but I don't let it get to me.

Vitale isn't being inducted into the HoF as a player; he's being inducted because he's the best college basketball announcer/analyst ever. Perhaps the greatest. He's brought more fanfare to the game than most players. Just FYI this isn't without precedent, there are numerous baseball broadcasters in the baseball HoF. Horry does NOT deserve to get into the HoF for his contributions as a player. It doesn't matter how many rings he has, he isn't a HoF player. When you have guys like Tracy McGrady (28) (2 scoring titles, 7 all-nba teams, 7 all-star appearances, 7 time top 8 MVP finisher, one of the greatest statistical seasons ever), Vince Carter (31) (8 time all-star selection, 2 all-nba teams, ROY, Dunk Champion, One of the most famous basketball players ever), and Chris Webber (35) (5 time all-star, 5 time all-nba, ROY, one of the greatest college players ever) on the bubble it's ridiculous to throw out a name like Robert Horry (37) (7 rings).
Reggie Miller, Larry Bird, Dr. J, Jerry West and Michael Jordan have hit more clutch shots than Horry. The difference between the players I just listed and Horry was that they dominated games.
I already told you rookies what this thread is about. its not about the HOF or Horry getting into it. Its about someone who hates Robert Horry so much, he won't acknowledge the great accomplishment of passing Kareem's playoff record. Every single player you mention will NEVER COME close to his endurance, his clutchness and his heart. and -1000 points for you for even saying Vince Carter, that guy makes the Stay Puff Marshmellow man look hard. please don't mention that soft player anymore, if you are true Tmac man. Dunk Contest? uh.. who cares!
I like the fact that all you got out of that post was the dunk reference. Vince Carter is the Dominique Wilkins of this generation. He scores slightly less than him (pace has something to do with that) but his all around numbers are slightly higher. Like 'Nique, he will always be associated with dunking - they were both world famous because of their dunks (Carter was the face of the NBA in his earlier years). Based on Carter's play last season, it looks like Carter has another 4 star seasons in him, which would make him a 25/5/5 player over a 15 year span. He was the best 2 in the East last season statistically (+12 +/-, leading in OWS, extremely high efficiency, career low in FGA) and that was on one leg... so it isn't a stretch to say that he'll be an extremely effective player after his athleticism diminishes. Barring injury (keep in mind he has been an ironman post Toronto) he should be a fix for the HoF. I just put him on the bubble because no one knows what might happen in the future, he might have a career ending injury.
Damn the truths really does hurt. How about you back away from the computer and get Horry balls out your mouth and just think for a second then you will see that Horry does not belong in the HOF. I guess you really gets off from telling me that I'm not a true fan. Does that really make you feel good? I guess its like sex to you.
