    Hey CBrownFanClub,

Do you ever notice those insurance commercials where they have some dude watching a bball game on tv and the announcer says Chucky Brown's name. That's so random and cool.

Btw, I voted no. I love Horry, but I always thought HOF criteria was like stats, which means regular season, and then the playoffs and championship stuff is like extra stuff that separates the greatest of all time arguments.

There's nothing wrong with being known as one of the most successful playoff role players ever, arguably the most successful playoff role player ever, and not be in the HOF.

I remember when the Hawks gave money back guarantees to season ticket holders that they would make the playoffs when they got SAR. Lets just say, ATL management will be making no more promises like that.

    thats juicystream,

at least i know that you have NBA knowledge. SAR sucks. scoring on crap teams and during blow outs doesn't make you a hero.

Heroes win championships and make key plays to help his team.

All kidding aside tinman, do you seriously think Horry deserves to be in the Hall of Fame?

Interestingly, if Horry averaged SAR numbers for his regular season career, I think he would probably be in the HOF.

    SAR
18ppg, 7.5reb, 2.5apg, an all-star game, all-rookie team, player of the week, and an Olympic Gold.
Normally, that's a decent career but no where close to HOF status. But if you add Horry's playoff performances to those career #'s, then you'd have a very very interesting argument imo.

But Horry's regular season mode is so mediocre that HOF status just out of the question imo.

Easy to attack me because to you not posting a lot automatically means i dont know anything about basketball, yet you didnt say anything to the other people who said he's not a hall of famer. Why don't you compare horry to barkely? does he still have 0 rings playing with shaq and kobe?

Horry has been extreamly fortunate to be on very good teams his entire career. A Hakeem-led Rockets, a Shaq/Kobe Laker team, and Duncan and co. in San Antonio. Horry was never a player that could carry a team. I just cant justify putting a person in the hof when hes never averaged more that what 15 points a game?

its about how you achieve your fame and what you are famous for

barkley, for a 6'5'' pf, dominated the paint, explosive player, great passer, leader

horry, wins championships by playing great defense, making game winners

what's wrong with having a guy who specialized in winning?

you can go on a billion times with the what if situations.

I'd like to go on what IS.

7 championships, most 3s in nba finals history, most playoff games evar!

A guy like Kevin Garnett ( ringless ) should get to the HOF, not Horry. HOFers carry their team...Horry saved them a few times, but there's a difference between carrying and saving.

    vice versa can be said,

they were EXTREMELY lucky to have him too. a lesser player wouldn't hit those shots or make those plays.

doesn't this year's Rockets teach ANYBODY ANYTHING about good teammates?

If Tmac had [insert better teammate] he would past the first round.

should someone be rewarded as the best teammate to have in NBA playoff history? yes!

If KC Jones is in Robert Horry should get in... Might take him a decade or two, but he should make it.

Robert Horry is a great role player, not a great player.....big difference.

But it does beg the question.

Which would you rather be, Charles Barkley an amazing talent who never quite gets it done or Robert "right place, right time" Horry who has contributed to so many championship teams but made far less money?

One is a hall of famer, one is a guy with 7 championship rings.

Because if you have a team with 10 players who "specialized in winning", you'll be lucky to win 15 games in the regular season. I'll take a team with nash, tmac, barkely, garnett, and deke, all of whom won zero titles, and take my 75+ regular season wins and title over a team with 10 Horry type players.

then you really really like NOT WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS.
you're fantasy basketball, stats and more stats.

ask Laker fan or Spurs fan or hell you can ask Rocket fans since you don't know any if they loved Horry.

Horry is the best teammate of all time.

You think that team of "losers" wouldn't win a title every year they were together? What does loving horry or him being a great teammate have to do with him being or not being HOF worthy? absolutely nothing

you sure are passionate about horry not being in the hall of fame...

even though the post got you all riled up was his breaking of Kareem's record.

like I said, there is hate behind all this .

its very suspect someone throws a poll about Horry making the hall of fame by someone who doesn't like him on the joyous day he breaks Kareem's record of most games of all time.

I would believe that you really like Horry, but you consistent comments of hatred and comparing him to absolute garbage makes me think otherwise.

plus you really take for granted anything he does in the playoffs, championships don't grow on trees and playing in the playoffs requires more mental toughness and execution.

the verdict??? you hate Horry and this is just a hidden hate thread about him.

this is like when Dream makes the HOF, some idiot starts talking about how he thinks Shaq is better than Dream.

    Jealousy and hatred.
