Umm hello dorks, this is still november and the all-star game isnt held until febuarish!!!! Yao freakin ming will turn this thing around and become the vote getters favorite choice, and since this event is being held in houston why not pick one of the most influential asian sports icon in the world. NOt picking any of our houstonian player's to represent Houston is just plain wrong houstonians!!!!!

oh yeah and happy f***ckin holidays to everyone!!!! :D

Wow, guess I've been following the team for no reason.
If I could vote for 2 centers Yao would get my vote. So far I think Camby is more deserving this year. My ballot has no check marks by any Rockets player this year.

Unless your players are total scrubs (eg. Ryan Bown on the ballot) - you vote for them.

Only a Yao-hater would claim that he's totally undeserving at this point.

Hell - I'm a YOF and I voted for all the Rocket players last year. It's t

Oh, definitely not. I can see the argument for Tim Duncan. Honestly, the man plays like a center consistently in the low post. I can even understand the argument for Garnett, since despite facing up/slashing a lot, he does it down low the way Robinson used to do it.

But Miller, Nowitzki, Stoudemire, and Howard? They are definitely not prototypical centers. None of those players are comfortable with their back to the basket. Miller and Nowitzki rely COMPLETELY on jumpshots. I've never seen them string together head/ball fakes to get an open shot...which frankly is the whole point of being a a low-post player.

Stoudemire are Howard are an athletic beasts, in the mold of Shawn Kemp. They're the very definition of a power forward. Stoudemire himself has stated that he's focusing on developing a consistent jumpshot out to 3-point land instead of a low-post banging game. In other words, his game will probably closely resemble Chris Webber's in the near future...who is definitely not a typical center.

I agreed with you, Kyrodis. Dream, Patrikc Ewing they all have a very good post game, which most of the recent so called "center/PF" guys don't have. It's difficult to develop a post game too, we're seeing less and less people with the ability to post up, and I think eventually it's gonna be a lost art.

for the sake of the league. Yao should always be the starting center. It's entertainment.

Geez, I just didn't know there's any 'fan' who wouldn't vote for a player of his own team. And I'm really tired of all those 'Chinese voting get Yao into all-star' crap. 2nd year in Yao's career he beat Shaq in both internet voting and ballot voting which is only available in American soil.

Of course I'll also choose Camby NOW, but no way he can be my first option. This is all-star voting, time for SUPPORTING!

    Unbelievable.
