    He said he seems "American" enough because of his nutty militarism and other stands. He is equating being American to having nutty stands.

    No did not say: "because". To clarify, McCain seems American enough to me despite not being born in any of the US states.

    However, I do not support him because of his nutty militarism.

    I wonder if this is just a reading comprehension error or a deliberate misconstruing.

    He never said "because of". He didn't say that his nutty militarism made him seem American. He said that McCain was both.

    So you are taking the position that an American who wants to see an AMERICAN be the President of AMERICA is a bigot?

    Tj might be right. We shouldn't trust someone who has spent time abroad living in a foreign country.

    Afterall, John McCain spent a lot of time with communists during his capture. They fed him and maybe have made him a Vietnamese citizen. And who knows, he might have been brainwashed so that someday if he became president, he'd do the communists bidding.

    As an American, I really don't want to vote for a brainwashed Viet-cong guy ya know? So I can't vote for McCain in good conscious.

    Jeff, respectfully, I disagree with you. It is not called xenophobia, it is called undivided loyalty and national security. To suggest that The_Conquistador is a xenophobe is simply invalid. Are you aware that I dine reguarly with Mexican industrialists? I conduct business in many countries, friend, with many foreign partners. All of my foreign partners are wonderful people (heck, some are even great speakers), but none are fit to be the President of the United States of America. We deserve a full blooded American as our President, as that is what the framers of the Constitution fully intended.
