This has been puzziling for a While .. And Iam rooting for it or against it but i can see the possiabilty of this happening .. I can see Toronto doing this for two reasons: They love international superstars It gives them flexiability for next summer I would hate to part ties with Yoa like this .. But sometimes U have to make some sacrifices to win a championship .. PS Iam not voting cause I really cant make up my mind ..
i'm honestly not sure. the reason being "health" of both of the players. we all know Yao's issues, but i'm not sure about bosh's health. from what i read, he had issues with his knees. serious issues. but it might not be true as well. if they were both healthy, i'd definitely keep Yao.
First of all, no chance of it ever happening at all. And second of all, who is this Yoa you speak of?
it won't happen...but i'd be good with it. i'd rather be building around bosh than building around Yao. I'm not sure either are alpha dog type players...but I'm more convinced Yao isn't than that Bosh isn't...and I have no idea what we're going to get out of Yao in terms of minutes going forward.
I don't get it...I made a poll about an hour ago and nobody wants to comment on it or vote, and this guy who can't even spell YAO correctly gets responses? WTH
Sure, you get a younger more productive player in Bosh, for a guy who might never be the same. It is a no brainer......but it won't happen. And I didn't realize that Rocket River had a 2nd user name..... DD
Well, Bosh is only 26....I think? In addition, he is not coming off, potentially, a surgery that could disrupt his game. But Bosh probably wouldn't even want to be in Houston if he had to come...and would leave the first chance he got. At least Yao has always shown dedication and a want to be here. I mean he doesn't even seem to want to test the free agent waters (I know the injury plays a factor here) but still. So I'd probably just keep Yao.
No way. Bosh would be nice but he has shown over the past 3 or 4 years that he is not the kind of player that can put the team on his back and will them through the playoffs, or to the playoffs for that matter. T he problem with Yao is health. Yao can be the cornerstone of a franchise and can lead a team to a championship, if hes healthy and you have good players around him. If the idea is to win a championship in the next 3 years, then the Rockets have to gamble with Yao. If Yao would have stayed healthy last year in the playoffs we had the makings of a championship team. And honestly I think we have an even better surrounding cast this next year. I dont think anyone realizes how good Kevin Martin, Brooks, and Yao can be potentiallly. But of course... HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH will be the key issue. And its a gamble I would make every time.
If yao's gone, why Bosh would like to come? We need to understand TMAC came here because of yao. If yao is healthy, LBJ/Wade would choose Houston as well. It's not like yao is better than other superstars, it's because yao's what sells for Rockets. So everything starts with keeping him first. Also we don't have to make move in the summer. If yao recovered well and perform great before the allstar break, we could potentially trade a star in the winter.
