This thread is a joke. There is only question whether Yao wants to stay in Houston. Houston lucked out to have Yao, period. A 7'5 guy can flat out shoot and run is the rarest talent in NBA. Now it's up to Houston to make him happy. Little things count when his contract is up, I am warning here.

Yao Ming may just choose not to resign here no matter how he turns out (great or bad) in the next 2/3 years.
Why would you trade Yao. He has already proved to be an excellent center. Who are you supposed to get for Yao at this point anyhow? He just arrived to America and the NBA. No expert thought he would blossom this early. But he did. He has controlled all the media and stress perfectly. And why would you trade him for Shawn Bradley? The guy Yao dropped 30 points on If you are supposed to trade a player because he has played a few bad games in a row, I must have missed something. And who are going to stop Yao, when Shaq, The Admiral and Dikembe are going to retire? Yao is definitely going to be the MD center sometime soon. If the so called Rox fan wants to trade a player whenever they have a few bad games, everyone should be traded, and we left with nobody. Besides, it's no easy task to battle Shaq and Duncan on consecutive games, no one would have a good 2 games against these 2 guys on consecutive games. Besides, which other NBA team does not double and triple team Shaq? Only the Rox let Yao hang out there doing 1 on 1 with Shaq. You could say Smith is setting up for Yao to fail. I don't want to come with any more execuses, Yao should play better after he somewhat recover from the physical strain of battling two of the most dominating guys. If we trade Yao now, it's going to be the biggest mistakes ever make by a ball club in the history of sports. well, this trade will never happen, everyone knows that. (Rox makes ton of money because of Yao.) This thread is basically meaningless. It's just a way for Yao hater to come out and jump all over the BBS. Ok, it's very hard to refrain from a personal attack after a post like this but i'll try. You say you dont give a damn about the rockets. Fine, then why dont you take Jeff's advice, show some damn respect, and stop posting in a ROCKETS BBS. It's really very simple. Next, you mention that some posters are talking about trading Yao after a few bad games and then proceed to call all Rockets fans pathetic. While i agree that such talk is ridiculous, I am VERY interested in hearing what you had to say when any of the Rockets players other than Yao had a stretch of bad games. I'm sure you didn't call for their heads right Mr. Yao-only fan? Finally, here are a few reasons you should top posting here: 1.) It does you absolutely no good 2.)
