NO, not even if Yao's leg fell off. That would be one of the worst trades this team ever made. Pau is a skilled player but not one that can carry a team. TMac may nevr be healthy again, so it would be insanity to bank on him becoming the team's leader.

If these playoffs have taught me anything, its that we don't need any one player to carry the team. I don't like that trade from the perspective that we lose interior defensive presence. But, IMO, Gasol is a more well-rounded, more skilled, and overall better offensive player.

With all the financial benefits coming from China, I doubt the Rockets would ever consider trading Yao unless it nets them Lebron or Kobe.

No, but they are similar players in terms of production. It sucks lakers were able to get a player like that for free.

yes i would actually. sure pau is soft and not a shot blocker, and he can be taken out of a game, but not as easily as yao can.

Would you trade soft Chinese ice cream for soft Spanish ice cream?

    Talk about your lateral moves.

OMG, who is starting this crazy thread again?

The Rockets have yet another critical game to play. Could you just keep such crazy ideas to yourself?
I guess the Lakers would be more than willing to take Yao.

Not this Yao-is-soft talk again. If Pau had half the heart of Yao, he wouldn't have let Kobe use his head as a c*m rag.

    No.

Yao has more heart and does more on the court.

Pau is a flopper and a constant cry baby. He's doing well now because he has Kobe to support him.

    No.

Are you serious man? Why in the hell would you want Pau? He's soft and can't carry a team, Yao opens the game to the rest of the team and better interior defender.
