Phil only doubled in the last minutes of the game out of desperation on the pick and roll, off the inbound and press. But he didn't do it because of it was TMac because he also doubled Alston. He did it to trap the ball handler. Kobe played Mac one on one.
I didnt see many double team on TMAC at LAKErs GAME, NEITHER ON yao. And sometime double is very effective because player is slow and D-T is good way to choke the oppn offensive...
i don't want to get into it. yao will bounce back tomorrow and have a great game. this team will do big things.
I vote YES. I am thinking if Adelman has both Kobe and T-Mac, no team (even Boston) cannot beat Rox. The reason to trade Yao is that he is not a good fit to Adelman's game.
When T-Mac played in Orlando, I also read somewhere that his teammates did not cheer for him. Now he is very popular. Things can change, so Kobe can change too.
simple like that , do you think Denver will win it all? no to mention , Denver has better player than we have after trade
nooooooooo noooooooo NEVER! Not for Yao or Tmac. I wouldn't like that at all. We don't need him here. He scores a lot of points, but we all know he takes A LOT of shots. Honestly, I can't see him sharing the spotlight with any other superstar... even if that's what he wants right now.
that was the best analogy ever i also would trade yao for KG straight up. KG on this roster guarantees a WCF appearance.
Analysis of a season two games old is astounding. The last time a team won the championship without very good center was when Jordan pushed off Byron Russell (I consider Ben Wallace very good when the Pistons won btw).
From pure basketball standpoint, Yao is not untradeable. I said many many times, even though he is probably the best center in NBA, that doesn't mean that much than it used to. There are probably 7-8 players in the league who currently have a bigger impact on the court then he does. And he is those few "superstars" who has some serious weakness and relatively easy to be neutrized. Without that being said, there is no way Rox to trade him for anyone till maybe very late of his NBA career. He is the first Chinese player who has a real impact on the NBA court. He may never be dominant like Shaq or Dream used to, but he is best Chinese basketball can offer. Having him give Rox a lot of visibilities in China. Chinese fans may not that into sports gears, shoes like Americans do, but selling sports goods is not the point. It will open a lot of doors in other industries for Les. Come one, Les didn't become rich by just being the Rox owner. That is the reason why Bucks' owner insisted to draft Yi no matter what. You think he just want couple more Bucks jersey to Chinese?
Centers nowadays suck is because the league wants them to suck, with all these touch fouls, 3s violations, .... The league is trying it's best to limit the real centers and protect these quick guards, PFs and so-called "centers" like Amare to attact more viewers. I doubt even the prime time Shaq can dominate right now. He will get 6 offensive fouls every game.
come on now prime shaq would dominate in any league in any era. duncan is still putting up good numbers so theres no reason at all to think that shaq wouldnt dominate now.
I voted yes. because I like crazy trade, especially after T-mac hit 47 while yao only had 11 p and 7 r but contributed 6 TO.
