Jordans Bulls (6 times) & 79' Super Sonics. I could name more but you only asked for two. Thats 7 champions
Yao is the biggest cash cow for the Rocket owner. He would never trade him for anyone in NBA right now.
One thing's for sure, they will take turns having 10 assist nights and more times than not Tmac will be passing more...
no let keep going, this might the biggest thread in the entire world! prediction: we win: trade is bad blah blah we lose: trade for kobe blah blah this will go on forever!
If anybody really thinks Yao is better or more important than Kobe, then you don't know basketball at all. Watch a little more Kobe and a little more Yao, do some analysis and then repost.
It is not just Kobe vs Yao. It is actually how good is Yao relative to other big men vs how good Kobe is relative to other outside players. It is much harder to find a great big men. There are many more good guard forward type players in NBA (TMac, Lebron, Josh Howard, etc).
There isn't one guard/forward player in the NBA better than Kobe. And just judging from Yao struggling to defend guys like Boozer that are a foot shorter than him, he's not the best big man in the NBA.
He might not be the best big man in the NBA, but not being able to guard Boozer is not a good reason. Duncan struggles to guard Boozer. Boozer is very quick, has a very good jumper, can finish very well with both hands, is athletic, and has the full complement of post moves. He has become a very good player.
It's not about Boozer. It's the fact that Boozer is 10 inches shorter than Yao and still dominates him. Kobe is consistently on the NBA All-Defensive team...while Yao is not. There's a reason for that. Kobe does it on both ends most of the time. Yao is a good help defender but one-on-one he is just not very good. Not to mention the fact that Yao gets pushed around while posting up quite a bit too. His post moves are rarely toward the basket, it's usually a faded j. There are definitely more dominant big men, but there isn't a more dominant guard in the league than Kobe.
there's a reason players have positions. of course Yao can't guard Kobe. all Kobe has to do is go around him. but what is Kobe going to do tryign to guard Yao. oh yea, Kobe doesn't guard Yao b/c Kobe's a freakin' guard! Yao can't guard Boozer, you're right. when was the last time Boozer guarded Yao? that's right, never. what's your point again?
Duncan is an HOF level defender and even he can't stop Boozer. What the hell does being way teller have to do with anything? If anything it makes it even harder for him to guard Boozer. Which big doesn't use turnaround jump shots and jump hooks? Hakeem used it, Robinson used it, Ewing used it, hell even Wilt used it. The only possible candidate is Shaq but even he relies on a jump hook for many of his baskets. Yao might not be the best big in the NBA (Duncan is probably better), but your reasons are pathetic and laughable.
