    Yao fan here.

I would do it if I were running the rox office, and trade howard + sura + pick for a defensive-minded C.

Mind reason being the change of head coach.

    alston
    Kobe
    Tmac
    Battier
    C

Can u imagine what this team can achieve?

A tracy and kobe combo would be deadly. you can be successfull with two great primeter players. MJ and pippen did it. the game is moving towards a high paced and more uptempo style. it is rendering the slower big men useless. remember the allstar game in houston. they had a genuine great chemistry on the court. i could see that being very successfull with the right pieces around them.

wow...i can't believe anybody would actually select "NO" if they left their personal feeling about Kobe out of the equation...Surprising results, I'm shocked!

Your unknown "C" better be a very good Defensive Type C (better than Yao at least) cause you are relying on Battier to play the PF position which has been proven ineffective when he played the similar position next to Yao ealier the past regular season.

Provided that your team was able to get into playoff in 2008, Battier and the unknown C will be facing other team's Big Men like Tim Duncan, Amare Staudamire, Carlos Boozer and last but not least, Yao Ming. Now please tell me which Defensive C are you going after? Mehmet Okur? :)

I would do it in a heart beat though...

plus no way L.A trades Kobe for Yao straight up.... we might have to throw in 1 or 2 players...

McGrady being traded is much more likely than Yao being traded, even if McGrady's better. Looks like Mac gets sent to another mediocre team with no chances of getting past the first round if it does happen.

No, I don't do that trade. Kobe is fantastic, but I believe we haven't seen the best of Yao yet. Watch him return to the monster that he was in the early part of this season, and nobody will be bringing up these scenarios again.

Hey Clutchfans! I have been a member for a while now but have never posted, but this thread has made me come out from under my rock. If there is any validity to the Rashard Lewis coming to Houston, my question would be what combo would be most effective and exciting to watch?

    Kobe
    Tmac
    Rahard

    or

    Yao
    Tmac
    Rashard

Personally I am not sure. I think if we could snag Rashard Lewis we would be in good shape either way but which one would give a real shot a the title for the next 3-5 years?

    Or Trade...

    Yao for Kobe
    Tmac for Garnett
    Rockets pick up Rashard

    Kobe
    Garnett
    Rashard

I think I just went to far! I just became one of those guys who makes crazy posts! But that combo would be nasty! It would cost wau too much money though.

I like the whole All-Star Team of the west better than just Kobe,Garnett and Rashard.

You should put L. James in too, then the team would be much better.
