wow, i wouldve traded yao for griffin easily.. my thought process when this thread was made wouldve been: yao is unrestriced after this season anyways and we can resign him for less..
The real question should be "why would the Clippers trade a future star for an injury-prone guy who will most likely never see the court again?" Seriously people, Griffin scored 47 points tonight and grabbed 14 boards. Yao is likely done for good. I said this before and I'll say it again, Morey should forget about Melo and save his chips for Blake Griffin. Think about how much excitement he would add to the team with his high-flying dunks and and ability to take over a game. Yes, we need a center but this is the type of player that you build around.
In a heart beat... You people are crazy not to. The clippers would never do that trade but if they did, WOW would that be a steal
DaDakota, I hereby give you the Official JCDenton "Ahead of the Curve" Award for your outstanding statistical achievements in this thread.
716 Dumb asses would not trade Yao for Blake Griffin? Are you damn kidding me!??? Yao is washed up and he is done. He will never be the same person he was 3 to 4 years ago. Let's get back to reality guys! Blake Griffin is the Next BIG Super Star in the making!
LOLOL you just made sure everybody knows you're the dumbass here for not seeing when this thread was made.
I would suggest that the only way this is implausible would be because of Yao's injury history. I respect Yao as much as anyone but how could anyone NOT want to get Blake Griffin at 21 for an oft-injured 30-YO center-- albeit one of the best... and did I mention how much I admire and respect Yao?! I'd do it with some regret but that would mostly be personal not basketball. EDIT-- didn't notice the dated thing.... I doubt I would have done it then. Yeah, hindsight.
To clarify, this poll back in 2009 was like 688 no and 200 something yes. People are voting now and distorting the totals.
