I would go with this trade but SEA won't do it. I would also trade T-mac for Barron Davis and Jason Richardson. Those two are even better than a healthy T-mac. Too dependent on one player is not good, unless he is Yao.

interesting thread, i found this quote hillarious:

yeah he's made the playoffs 4/5 years as a number one guy, but his teams struggle so he's better off as a number two. kobe hasn't even made the playoffs yet as the number one guy, but that doesn't matter he should be a number one. faker fans/kobe stans are full of it.

You want the TRUTH.... you cant handle the TRUTH....

Not to start picking on TMac, but his career has been plagued with injures in his prime. I like Tmac and looking at a basketball prospective, you want to your max player to be dependable. With Tmac's back again and again, Healing, Rest will be something temporary and back problems is not something that will go away. It will haunt him again. As much as i like Tmac, trading would be good. The "TRUTH," Paul Pierce, would be nice and some. And I hope juwanna would go too. Paul Pierce, though he is older, he is not plagued with injuries. He also capable of putting up numbers and his contract wont be as long.

As disappointing as this season has been, I wouldn't deal TMac at this point. But I am very worried that we have a superstar like Grant Hill - one that is constantly injury-prone. I even posted a thread about it earlier this season and I got quickly admonished by many. Not to be one to say "I told you so", but I really think this is a problem that is just not going to go away on its own. For whatever reason, McGrady could possibly be playing the rest of his career in pain. And considering what our record is without him in the lineup, we have got to have better play from all of our players - not just Yao. However, that is easier said than done. :( Bogans' play encourages me but he is obviously not a starter when TMac is healthy.

I think it is worth exploring in seeing what is out there for TMac but I would not deal him for anything less than a Pierce, Garnett, etc. type of player. Lamar Odom?? Please & AK47?? I am not sold on him either.

And to the threadstarter - how hard is it to go back and read your original post? You could have fixed that typo if you had contributed to the tip jar.

Jason Richardson and Baron Davis both choke in the clutch. Baron Davis always tries to take shots in the clutch that he rarely makes. J-Rich always chokes in the clutch. Why do you think the Warriors are so bad?

    You can't compare 2 people to 1, that's stupid.

No way is GS going to do that trade...

Oh and let's see how Yao handles this brutal schedule alone. See how good it is to depend on Yao. I love him, but he can't lead this team alone, he needs at least half of the role players to step up. He's been playing so well lately.

J-Rich choke? I don't have that impression, he just single handedly beat Miami, he just seems to be stronger and more durable than T-mac, though Tracy has better skills.

J-Rich is blossoming into a superstar right now, and he's one of the few guys who kept improving even after signing a big contract. I'm very high on him, but I sincerely doubt that Golden State would trade him even straight up for T-mac considering his back problems (which is kind of funny since I actually suggested a trade package featuring T-mac and J-Rich a couple of days ago. things change fast in the NBA). And Baron Davis would be a nightmare for this team. Can't shoot, and needs the ball in his hands in order to be effective.

at this point, i wouldn't trade Yao for even Lebron James. Yao is only starting to realize his true potential.

Seriously, this is terrible. The same bandwagoners who wanted to trade Yao two months ago are out of the woodwork again, this time on T-Mac. Bloody impatient fans.

Instant gratification will not get you an NBA title, morons.

I would never do this trade. AK can't shoot worth a lick. Only for LBJ and maybe for kobe, Pierce, Marion, and J Rich.

I don't think GS will give up J-rich either. I just want him, that is all. He is looking sooooooooo good. He should have been invited to the US team.

Ok, let's settle this once and for all. Trade Yao for AK and trade Tmac for Matt Harpring. Rebuild with the ex-Utah jASS nucleus. Championships here they come!

I am totally agreed with you. And I am sure the Rockets management have been aware of this situation in a long time. The Rockets need a star (with Yao) like KG who has played hard in apperance and in heart without any health concern. Just trade TM for KG in off season for the best benefit of the team.

hey dont get me wrong here i like tmac and all and i think hes one hell of a player....but with all of that said i think his back problems arent gonna go away that easily...we shouldnt risk to see if hes gonna stay healthy and have a grant hill on our team...as of right now he prolly still has a lot of trade value and hearing that KG might want out of minnesota and eventhough he's a little older he's more durable and i wouldnt mind seeing yao and kg on the same frontcourt....would resemble a lot like duncan and robinson of the spurs a few years ago...

    Buhahaha

Dunno, I would think about it, but still give him a chance. I do not think the rockets org would trade Tmac in any way. Loyalty is high with Gundy, CD and Alex...
