This is a joke right? What in the world did Hollinger put in your water?

You really think Fernandez could give us the production T-Mac gives us in the playoffs? Please tell me this was nothing more than a knee-jerk response.

Don't you think adding Yao for Martell Webster would make it even?

    I crap better ideas.

Fernandez fits exactly what I think this team lacks. He plays intelligently, he's constant movement on offense, he has a good outside shot, he's a good passer and ball mover, he's young, he's athletic, and he can finish.

But I admit -- after seeing T-Mac go 1-16 in the last two games I'm probably letting my frustration cloud the bigger picture. It's just that all his weaknesses were exposed the last couple games (not to mention that last play of the Portland game). Lack of toughness. Lack of energy and hustle. Playing passive when the team needs him to step up. Acting like the losses weren't a big deal afterward. It's really tough for me to stand it, and the most grating thing of all is that it apparently isn't tough at all for T-Mac to stand it.

This getRED2008 fool has definitely registered this name for a purpose. Just read all his posts since last month when he started posting under this name. I guess over 90% are about Yao and not even one of them is positive. He would hide in his hole when things went well and then crawl out to bark after we lost (in a celebration mode). This fool has obviously registered this name for a purpose. I am trying to think who he is. He must have been around here for some time under another screen name.

    does salary matter?

i'd take fernandez at whatever he's making over tracy for 20m any day of the week. the team wouldnt be as good with fernandez as it could be with tracy, but that difference is smaller than the difference in their salaries.

What are you talking about? Webster is in Portland's big fuzzy FUTURE. Why would Pritchard give him up for a big old injury prone stiff? Are you suggesting that those people in Portland are actually dumber than we are? That can't be true!

Uhm NO! He's gotten some wear and tear on him but he is not done yet. The guy with the role players we had last year took us to the playoffs and got us the fourth seed. What I am more confused with is Yao's play. Does Rick Adelman really not know how to use a big man? If he doesn't then why in the heck is he still coaching this team? We honestly are looking like a team that has lost their ability to play good team defence. Heck if our offence was superb like the Kings were during their strong run then it might be a little bit excusable. But this team does not look even close to the team that could have pushed a 22 game win streak. I wish the Rockets would call on some old familiar faces like CD or Rudy T who know how to utilize an inside out offence. It was boring ball but it got us two rings.

Rudy Fernandez?? gimme a break. we can get someone better than that for t-mac. brandon roy, dwayne wade, or even rashard lewis would be better than rudy fernandez.

BUt to answer your question... no. i would not trade t-mac for a sub-par player. despite his sub-par play recently.

You have never watched Rudy Fernandez play, or else you would not call him a sub-par player.

And btw, we would not have a shot in hell at getting Brandon Roy or D-Wade.
