You were right, it was just slightly more ...... LaFrentz has only 1 year left, and Outlaw contributes far more than he earns.
McMillan wants a veteran and Roy's reason for wanting Batum to start over Outlaw might see both support a Battier for Fernandez trade but Rudy might be the most popular player among Blazers fans right now. It was pipe dream to get Fernandez in the off-season. Any trade suggestion involving Rudy now could all be "Daryl Morey suggests a trade and Kevin Pritchard hangs up the phone" scenarios.
no. Unless the blazers management is caught smoking pot, and morey blackmail them to sent roy and Aldridge as well.
Right now I'd trade Tracy for Scott Padgett. Heck yes, I'd trade him for Rudy Fernandaz! Since no one's tradin' for T-Mac, I'll settle down and quietly root for him to heal and get back to being T-Mac. Ditto Yao.
Fernandez could run the offense. He never stopped running/cutting hard in that game against the Rockets. T-Mac's got to start moving without the ball and passing. This is getting ridiculous.
I'm not saying that this is a reasonable trade, btw. But the meat of the problem is T-Mac's reluctance/inability/whatever to play the motion offense. Fernandez is an interesting comparison because he never stops moving.
This is not a knee-jerk reaction to the last week. We are trying to cure a cancer that the Rockets have had for four years.
I don't know because Fernandez has only played a limited number of NBA games. I don't know enough about his shooting personally. I'd want more in a deal than just one rookie who may or may not end up being very good. I'd trade him for Richard Hamilton though.
Sadly, I have the same feeling. I don't feel any anger in today's game. From halfway thru the first quarter, I know this team will lose. That's how poorly we're out matched.
Mcgrady is done for. He cant perform properly for 5 consecutive games. He is old and broken. Yao is another player that is all about HYPE. Too many people love him, and for what? He did nothing exceptional besides being a tall player. He gets blocked by everyone, pushed around, he is the softest player in the league. These 2 softies cant take us anywhere. Trade them both and rebuild. They will be injured again soon enough anyway.
I wont trade mc grady mainly because he expires in 2010 if we can get all 2010 expiring contracts plus a rising star i would go for it without even thinking about it. They guy didn´t even tries to do what the coach asks for, and is clearly upset that he is not taking his 20+ shots per game (only to clank 15). So if we can get a bunch of 2010 expirings plus a player like Stuckey for exxample i will go for it in a heartbeat, and if we can also include Alston in the deal and get a so-so player, that would be a steal. Right now here are the players that you can trade mcgrady for straight up. Marbury, Kidd (like the idea if he expires in 2010), J´Oneal, Rashard Lewis and that´s it, no team will give you any other player. Maybe you can try the Spurs injuried Manu Ginobili and ask them to give you Mason or Udoka pluss fillers but is too difficult to figure out a way to do a trade and is unclear how Ginobilli will play after the surgery. But to say it again, McGrady only asset right now is that he expires in 2010 and is a really big contract, that´s it.
I totally detest saying that we gonna detach McGrady who is my favorite since he was at Orlando.Unfortunately the injuries damage his body and his mentality that causes the fact that sometimes he just constantly whined about his injuries. We've already known that, his back spasm, his knee bruise leading to a surgery this off season, his left shoulder as well. BUT AS OF NOW,I STILL WOULD STICK TO TMAC RATHER THAN RUDY FERNANDEZ. GIVE HIM SOME TIME TO REHAB ON HIS ******* LANKY LEGS,THEN HE'll BOUNCE BACK TO FIRE UP
