To be fair, teams will let you get comfortable all game doing one thing then take that one thing away at crucial moments. Tmac gets double teamed as he brings the ball over the half court line to get the ball out of his hands. The Rockets need one more facilitator to make other teams pay.....Rafer sucks and doesn't have to be guarded, and Brooks was just not ready yet. The rest of the team is not capable of attacking the basket, or dribbling the ball and making a play for themselves or others.... Tmac is NOT as good as he once was, but if you get him just one other attacking player like Magette etc...this team wins it all if healthy. DD

Whats your point? An argument can be made that Pierce is better than Tmac as well. And if both Tmac and Manu are inferior to Pierce, doesn't it make sense to compare them?
T-MAC is better than Pierce, but not by a lot. Pierce is eons better than Manu by eons. And Manu is incomparable to McGrady. Is it really hard to put that together..wacko?

well, he does more offensively for the team than pippen. it's true that people expect tmac to be like michael or kobe b/c of his immense talent (he used to be able to do that), and now only sporadically. but he can still carry a team as seen in the playoffs. for us to take the jazz to 6 games extremely undermanned and injured spoke a lot.
I think he was talking about in terms of star player-ness. You know at one point Latrell Sprewell was close to Scottie Pippen.

I have friend that is the same race is Manu and he overrates all the Argentian players he says stuff like is Manu better than Lebron, Kobe, etc. He doesn't start. He brings energy off the bench. He is a good player just not 6'8 and not Tmac. Mcgrady may frustrate people by not going to the basket at will or being injury prone, but still overall is better than Manu.
No one questions that Tmac is better than Manu. But the real questions are: How much better is Tmac than Manu? Is this disparity worth an extra $10 million per year?
See, I don't see a problem with this. He's not Jordan or Kobe or whatever but I still believe a "Pippen", Yao and a solid cast can make it to the Finals.
after this playoffs, yes, whatever tmac is right now, he's worth $10 mil more than manu. i don't see anyone criticizing manu for sucking. that $10 mil is for the pressure that tmac has to face alone.

What pressure? No one expected the Rockets to advance. And for the record, shooting almost 21% from the 3 pt line and 62.3% from the ft line is nothing to be proud of. Those are embarassing stats. And if you take the playoffs as a whole, Manu didn't perform that badly. Theres no way Tmac is worth $10 million more than Manu. Its almost comical how you overrate Tmac and underrate everyone else.
