Cant say I'd do the trade, and Lebron is by no means better at this point but I gotta say I like Lebron's game a bit better than TMacs. He's more of a point in the mold of Magic and pre-injury Penny. Maybe I'm biased for tall point guards.

Yes, without any doubt in my mind because LeBron's passing is awesome and Lebron passing to Yao over and over again would be

Finally, someone else with some sense above all of the hype on LeBron!

T-Mac is definitely the best perimeter player today in the league. His game is so effortless. This could be a knock for him about his lack of effort last year at Orlando, but it definitely shows he has more talent than Kobe and LeBron right now. His first step is as quick as anyone else in the league. He can shoot easily from behind the arc, mid-court, and finish with ease near basket, with either hand. Unlike Kobe, T-Mac doesn't operate in a mood of either "score" or "set up teammates" distinctively. All this comes out naturally for him. His ability to draw fouls behind the arc is unmatched in the league, same goes his clutchness as demonstrated in the miracle vs Spurs.

LeBron has the POTENTIAL to be as good as, or better than, T-Mac. But potential and reality are totoally different things. It is very hard to predict whether player with potential can reach the elite. The last hurdle is really hard to reach. I will only believe it when I see it.

Lebron hype? Lebron has the potential to be as good or better than Tmac? The stats say that Lebron is already better than tmac in only his 2nd season out of high school.

    Lebron James 04/05 stats:
    24.4 PPG
    .486 FG%
    7.2 APG
    7.0 RPG
    2.45 SPG

    Tmac's 04/05 stats:
    24.0 PPG
    .417 FG%
    4.2 APG
    6.4 RPG
    1.48 SPG

    Tmac's 98/99 stats (2nd season):
    9.3 PPG
    .436 FG%
    2.3 APG
    5.7 RPG
    1.06 SPG

I know that JVG has lowered Tmac's stats this season, but you can't deny what Lebron is doing in only his second season out of high school.

Stats alone always lie! There are many reasons why LeBron's numbers are higher: He plays in the leastern conference; teams hasn't really play a defense to stop him; JVG didn't let T-Mac to be free in November, etc. And sure it's fair to compare T-Mac 2nd season number where he was just a bench player against LeBron when he is the #1 option.

The real number that mattered to me: last time T-Mac played against LeBron, LeBron went 0-5 FG with T-Mac guarding him, while Silas couldn't even let LeBron guard T-Mac. LeBron stats were great, but if you bother to put a defense to stop him, he crumbles.

His biggest point is on the whole "effortness" of both players, and it is very true. When you watch Rockets games, EVERYTHING that T-mac does just seems insanely easy. Tmac really looks like he's not working hard out there, he really looks sleepy and putting, oh say 60% effort out there. He's not bringing his best game every night because he doesn't know how to yet, but when T-mac gives his 100%, he will put up the most insane numbers (if that's what you care about) T-macs game can be taken to such extreme levels right now and he has to break out NOW...It's time for his prime to start...

You then have players like Lebron and Kobe who play 100% every night. This is the best they will both get....Kobe for sure wont get better, and Lebron is just going to mature; he probably will put up the same numbers for the rest of his career. The game you see them with is the same you will see next year and the year after next. It might be hard to believe, but I think Lebron really has reached his peak numbers wise, he can only improve in Basketball IQ and maturity. You can see they try their hardest when they are playing.

Tmac can be a lot better than both of these players; It's just up to him to do what needs to be done

    Good post I agree.

I said no just because it won't happen and Tmac is awesome and he's a Rocket.

I agree with Jeff lol I just voted and exited the thread but I somehow ended back into it and am now posting in it. :D

    Really good post though wakko

No i wouldn't, because, a smart person said

    ------
For instance, I was sent out some game footage of
an up and coming "phenom", from a good friend and associate who lives in the States, after being asked to check to see if this athlete is the real deal. I hate to put a curse over the head of an athlete, but since most of you have probably already guessed correctly in assuming that I was referring to "King James", and for your individual learning purposes, I will share with you one of
the "findings" that I came across during this video tape
investigation. Based solely on the neurodynamic display of that
particular athlete on that particular day in question, it has been
concluded that he will be plagued by "PAINFUL AND PERFORMANCE
DISTURBING SYMPTOMS...IN THE RIGHT KNEE... BY OR BEFORE THE 2006
    SEASON!"

lets see if it pans out

The result shows that more people wanna see Tracy traded for Lebron.

Can someone also open up a thread to trade Yao for Amare?

"Screw you guys I'm going home"

This thread makes me  Bron is good, but he is not at the stage in his game that he wouldnt crack under playoff pressure... T-mac can and will TAKE OVER games when Bron is still feeling things out, I will take T-mac NOW for the way our team is going... Bron if we wanted to hold off and wait to get them rings later than sooner....;)

I don't think anyone here would trade Yao and TMac and a first-rounder for LeBron either.
