Haha, Dang I wish Yao was healthy... I don't know that Trevor can bring what Shane has for the next 5 years...

Trevor can probably score a bit more than Shane, but he isn't as good a defender as him. I would be less inclined to trade our players except for Tracy,Cook,Barry if Yao was healthy.

With Yao out, this would be a great time for Trevor and even Shane to show their offensive skills. It has been talked about so much that both players can defend. The opportunity presents itself for both players to step up on offense. Trevor will score more and probably be the second option on offense behind Scola or Brooks. If his game prospers then the impact of losing Shane in a trade might be lessen.

We could lead the league in reconstructed feet.

Very possible. Lets hope that the shooting guard is a great go to guy down the stretch when the team needs someone to take charge. :)

This will buid to the future. Shane is too old. Much rather have an expiring contract.

I would rather have a younger up and coming player to build for the future with...than an old Z.

knote32, I thought you liked Shane? He's worth more than that. You're basically giving the Cavs exactly what they need for an expiring contract?

This season doesn't matter. It's all about what you can get for the future or when Yao returns. Big Z is old and he can't play alongside Yao. And, since he would probably put up big numbers on a team with such little offensive punch, he won't be as much of an expiring contract. Someone will over pay him and if it isn't us we end up trading Shane for nothing.

You bring up Vlade but he was a much better passer than Z. It's not big slow centers that Adleman likes, it's great passing center. Also, Ilgauskas is an awful post defender. Sure, he gets a couple blocks but he's a poor man's Camby in that regard. He'll use his length to reject a couple layups but he can't stay in front of his man if his life depended on it and he's shockingly weak for someone of his size.

Hell no,his game is not there any more.Softie 7 footer only shoots from midrange,I would rather have any other younger players to trade for.

And also,Shane brings us the presence of ELITE defense in the league.

No. Big Z is an extremely poor man's Yao.

Big Z is the biggest bum in this league, This Rocket team has a history of owning Dwight Howard and we don't want the other way around. Big Z has been holding LeBron James back from winning if you ask me, He's just a 7 foot jump shooting pillow. Incredibly useless after his jump shot. I wouldn't trade One potato chip for that stiff.

As it is, there is an overflow of post players. Yao on the side lines, Anderson who just sign. Pops who have a verbal contract, Dorsey trying to prove his worth. Scola, Landry and Hayes from the starting rotation of last season. Thats already 6 players vying for 2 spots.

I say no to the trade, unless one or 2 of them is traded.
