Mullin needed a big man after losing Damp...had to overpay to keep Foyle. Probably went over the top, but still almost necessary at the time.

Fisher was dumb for that # of yrs

People criticized JRIch/Murphy large extensions...this year both having All-Star caliber years (too bad both have been injured too often)

I don't think Mullin is stupid enough to take back MoT straight.

You can put all of that stuff in a blender, mix it with some hot water, and give me an enema with it if you can find someone to take Mo Taylor's contract.

Here is why the Clifford Robinson talks are intriguing. Garnett called Clifford Robinson the best defending power forward in the league. Think of what that means to have him on the Rockets in the West when the Rockets face Nowitzki, Webber, Marion, Gasol, Garnett, Duncan, Radmanovich, and Odom. Anyone of those guys will give us hell in the playoffs. Two of the Rockets recent losses were against Indiana and Sacramento - two teams with power forwards*(Webber and Oneal) that ate Howard and Padgett alive. And lets not forget about Odom, who against our weak power forwards, almost single handedly won the ballgame. The West is loaded with stud power forwards. We have the weakest defending power forwards in the league. We got to have a good defending power forward to be able to beat these teams. Clifford Robinson is probably the best player for that role. Hope the Rockets land him.

Yeah but Dale Davis is not quick enough for those guys. Can you see him running around and chasing Marion or Nowitzki or Gasol? I can't. Clifford Robinson has that mobility we are looking for from a guy to match up with the mobile type of power forwards in the west.

I know with Chris Mullin as the GM ANYTHING is possible.....but still, I dont see ANY way the Warriors trade an EXPIRING contract in Robinson for Mo Taylor who still has 2 more years on his hideous deal. IF the Rockets actually could pull that off I would piss my pants and do a happy dance! I mean, are you kidding me? Get a solid role player in Robinson AND be able to rid ourselves of Mo's terrible contract? We would do that in a heartbeat!

But again, I dont see the advantage for GS to do it.

Of course you make that trade. Cliff has been playing reasonably well recently. He can hit the 3 from the 4. His contract expires.

    Yes!

Najera would also be a plus for the Houston market. Maybe.

I'd trade for Cliffy for the cap room next year (letting Cliff go so that we can sign Antonio Daniels to the mid-level exception, maybe).

Why would Golden State trade for a longer contract? I would do it in a second, but I don't think we have much to offer them.

thats exactly what i was thinking. Cliff Robinson could be useful when we are in the playoffs and his contract is up after this season. Najera would be a nice guy to bring off the bench every now and then if we are lacking hustle and intensity. Getting rid of Mo's contract would make the deal for me. Do it CD.
