For those of you wanting Nowitzki, I finally watched the guy play a few games this past week. To borrow a cliche, "he is something special". Of the New Big 3 in the Big D, Nowitizki is probably the most untouchable followed by Finley and then Nash. If you want Nowitzki, you better start by offering Francis. This whole Mobley for Nowitzki thing isn't realistic for one reason : they already have an explosive off-guard who rebounds and also passes the ball. His name is Michael Finley. ------------------ "Christ, it's not as if Steve pissed on a guy!!!!!" -- cson makes a return to my quotable sig as he comments on how Steve Francis should not be T'd up for slapping the backboard on a dunk...speak loudly cson, you rock!
Dallas are not stupid to do that, but ofcourse I'd go for that any day! [This message has been edited by CompaqC (edited January 07, 2001).]
And when Cat goes, does steve REALLY want to stay in houston??? i wouldn't do this trade. Nowitzki's good,..but he's rebounding ability, scoring, don't make him that much greater than what Cat and Steve can bring to the table when they're in sync. -elie17 ------------------ Oh.. so this is how you add a signature huh? coo coo.
But if Dallas has Cat, they could slide Finley to the 3 spot, and let some of those stud PF's take Nowitzki's minutes at the 4. I hope Nellie read that. In all seriousness, listen to DOD. It may take Steve to get Dirk, and that wouldn't be worth it, imnsho. ------------------ "We don't have any plans. We just plan to win." Mack Brown
Some wouldn't make a mobley for nowitzki deal. if you are like charlotte(stocked at big men spots), mobley would be hte better choice. Cuttino is scoring 18 ppg to dirks 20. They're both getting about 2 assists(but mobley comes off the bench at the two and usually plays next to two playmakers at the same time(norris and Francis. Dirk is getting 8 boards to Cuttino's four, and cuttino has 29 steals on the season to dirk's 20. IMHO, it all comes down to needs, in our case im not sure. Mobley resigned largely because of steve and steve will resign probably largely because of cuttino, no cuttino and he might flee to Washington or another team. But then again he fits us well. a 3/4 that rebounds, drives, and shoots well. Is his defense still suspect? In his rookie season that was the major knock against him. ------------------ President of the Charles Barkley fan club...Oh he retired? When?
