Would take it in a heartbeat. Lillard is going to be ROTY this year and he's a pretty decent shooter. Much more upside.
It's way to early to tell. I need to see both of them over the entire season before I can make a choice. Also, Lillard and Lin are both ball-dominant players. And aren't we currently have problems because of this?
Yeah, I probably would. But if you think lillard would be doing what he is doing in Portland here, you're mistaken. We effectively have a pg in James harden. He has the ball the majority of the time and the offense goes through him. Pillars would probably be more effective at spotting up though, at least from what I have seen. Unless we got a pg like Chris Paul, its hardens ball.
To be fair, if Lin had control of a team like Lillard does, he would put up similar numbers. He did in fact, and for about the same amount of time. Now, does this mean everyone is being pre mature in praising him??
People keep forgetting Lillard was given the keys to the offense. Lin was not. Lin has done pretty decently against Portland despite that and played decent defense against him in the past. I'd say they were even, except for the fact that Lin has been in the league longer.
The better question is.... Does portland is willing to trade one for one? Damian's value is so much higher now compared to Lin.
Once again we can't compare these kind of players unless we're referring to when they both had freedom. Lin plays with the best SG in the league & with a coach that doesn't has a offense that isn't run through the PG Lillard is solid and will be an Allstar one of the top PGs in the league. But he has freedom just like other day he went 5-16, 1-5 form3, 3turnovers he still played 40mins. He's able to shake a bad game off get in rhythm and have a good game the next night. if Lin goes 2-7 in 19mins he's benched by the coach and fans want him gone ASAP. so it's a totally different situation that these 2 players are in. You can't compare them.
LOL if Lillard were on the Rockets, people around here would say he needs to improve his shooting %age. A scoring point guard who needs to ball paired with Harden is just a disaster waiting to happen.
His FG% does need to improve. However his 3PT% and FT% are great, much better than Lin. His 2.5/1 ast/to also trumps Jeremy by a mile.
Ok, you LOFs want me to pull up that game in 2011, when Lin was still with the Knicks, against Miami, where Lin couldn't even dribble past midcourt...Can you think of a time Lillard has been in such perils...lol, stop it. Lin is ok, could get better, but not even in the same breath as Lillard.
