Would you trade Kyle Lowry for a top 4 pick and future 1st in the 2012 NBA Draft?

My only worry is that Lowry won't want to stick around past his contract if we go this route.

I guess this really only matters if he continues to progress into a top 5 PG and sustain it. But if he does and we do trade all our veteran talent for picks/young pieces, I wonder if he will have any interest in sticking around or would he leave to go to an immediate contender?

    HELL YES I WOULD....

I LOVE HOW LOWRY PLAYS... I TRULY DO...

but a top 4 pick plus our 2 1st rd picks our 2 2nd rd picks and an extra future 1st rd pick?...

we could give up our top 4 and knicks pick to move to number one for our future face of franchise... (Andre Drummond)

still have our original first 1st(lottery) and 2 2nd pick and extra future first...

trade our lottery pick and either both 2nd rd or future first(depending on how far up) and move up into the top 5 again...(Harrison Barnes)

I love lowry but with two new faces for the future ill resign dragic and let him take over at point....

I like Kyle a lot,but I would say yes to this. The Rockets need high draft picks. The likelihood of this happening is very remote, despite his improvement.

LMAO... people on this board have NO memory.... How many years did we spend lamenting that we didnt have a good PG... remember Rafer Alston? Moochie Norris? Matt Maloney? Emmanuel Davis? Baby Price? Bryce Drew? Tito Maddox? Mike Wilks? Eldrige Recasner? Then all the talk was about how if you dont have someone good running the point to distribute, you were dead in the water... "It dosnt matter how good your post players are - if you cant get the ball into them.." Well we got a damn good pg - and people are willing to trade him away for an unproven lottery baby... just laughable...

    Lowry should be untouchable!!

If we do have a high lotto pick then Lowry can really take pressure off of a guy like Jeremy Lamb or Kidd-Gilchrist

Those saying we would take Andre Drummond- He already said he's leaning toward staying.

I would lean that way, too, although I would hate doing it. A top 4 pick in this draft? If Drummond stays in. Of course, this is all pure fantasy.

We have a rich history of big men, but when it comes to quality out top the list is thin indeed.(insert image of Rod Strickland or Gary Payton driving the lane at will) Take heart though, because if the past is any indicator, we will get there eventually with Kyle. We were likely headed to our first title under John Lucas when the Blizzard of Boola took out that team. Later, ET and Kenny combined to handle the 1 ...result - titles. And while there won't be another Dream, DM has positioned us nicely with capspace and picks. He'll eventually find a way to get his hands on the quality size to help Lowry. Kyle is clearly headed towards multiple All Star appearances and should be the leader of the Rockets for quite awhile. Whether it's a complete rebuild or reload, he's our man.....and what a friendly contract..... :)

I'd do the deal, but I have a caveat:

We haven't seen DM handle a pick higher than #14. He's obviously a genius with 2nd-round picks, and his #14 picks look good, but he might be ordinarily talented with top picks.

I would also sign kobe to a vet min contract and give up parsons for lebron .. but come on lets be real who the heck would give you a top 4 pick for lowry .. and even if someone was willing how would you know at this point of the season that they would have the top 4 pick?
