If we did this, Houston Rockets would become the most popular team in the nation.

Follow your draft plan (Davis, Kidd-Gilchrist, Teague).

    1. Trade Jordan Hill for Jodie Meeks.
    2. Trade Samuel Dalembert, Chase Budinger for Tayshaun Prince
    3. Trade Luis Scola, Marcus Morris, Goran Dragic, Hasheem Thabeet for DeMarcus Cousins, Chuck Hayes
    4. Trade Jeff Adrien for DeAndre Liggins
    5. Trade a future 2nd for Josh Harrellson
    6. Trade Johnny Flynn for Nazr Mohammed
    7. Trade Kevin Martin, Courtney Lee, and Chandler Parsons for Rajon Rondo
    8. Waive Terrence Williams because he went to Louisville

So, our lineup next season could be:

C: Anthony Davis / DeMarcus Cousins / Nazr Mohammed
PF: Patrick Patterson / Chuck Hayes / Josh Harrellson
SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist / Tayshaun Prince
SG: Jodie Meeks / DeAndre Liggins
PG: Rajon Rondo / Marquis Teague

I love how you got rid of all our crappy players and then stole the other team's good players. Where did you learn how to be a gm, HCC?

Yes ... People are acting as if Lowry can't be replaced ... He's more gifted mentally than he physically ... Running the floor constantly ... non stop hustle ... Unselfishly giving up the ball to his temmates when in the right spots ... Seriously, his opponents have to be mentally prepared for that ... Which is why when their opponents are prepared for that and are able to match him mentally ... It forces the Rockets into more half court settings on offense <<< where they've struggled.

If there's an opportunity to get a top 5 lottery pick ... For Lowry?! ... You do it.

If you can't find another PG to replace Lowry then somethings wrong ... Morey has proven that he can replace point guards ... Even when 90% of clutchfan members don't initially agree with the trade.

Seriously? Where did that happen? #3 and #7 are the most questionable ones, but we are also giving up our best players in them. None of them are too lopsided. I didn't say Flynn for John Wall.

You probably didn't realize this wasn't a serious reply, and that the entire roster is composed of UK alum. I wouldn't expect you to though.

No I would not. I thought Lowry had capped out but I'm starting to see that he has another level that he can reach. Even as a pro "go for the draft" person, I would not trade Lowry unless I almost knew that the person I could draft was going to be a stud - and then which team would make that trade?

I would, but i doubt any other team will be stupid enough to make that gamble. If you had a pick that high already and u were desperate for a pg, why not keep it and use it on fresh pg with no baggage.

Lowry is a special player. For example, last night's game, he's underneath the hoop, boxing out, and getting an offensive rebound, against guys a foot taller than him, at the end of the game after playing 40 odd minutes. He's a crazy competitor and if not one of the top 5 points in the game, then you can't go past about 7 without him being there.

Still, with all that being said, Morey will have to consider trading him if it brings a superstar to town that will attract other superstars. Lowry may be just as good Deron but for some reason Dwight ain't calling him telling him he wants to play with him. I wished he was.

If, as in the OP's scenario, the Rockets already have the 2nd overall pick why trade away their young PG?

Especially if they would already have another 1st round pick. Three rookies, really? Some of you really can't wait to become the next Washington Wizards.

Only if the value returned was greater or potentially greater. But there's not much chance of getting a top 4 pick for Lowry.

However, my first inclination is to keep Lowry, because he anchors our offense and is becoming a good floor general. I only see him getting better.

I would also keep Parsons and Lee, and Donuts once he comes back. The rest of the team is fair game.

I think you are underselling how important the mental part of the game is (funny, given your moniker), alot of physically gifted point guards that come out of the draft will never be able to match Lowry's mentality, even when it matters most. Toughness and being a winner isn't something you can turn off and on. It's either there or it isn't.

Nope, but i doubt Philly will give up Jodie Meeks for Jordan Hill.
I also doubt the Kings will trade DeMarcus Cousins for those trash

we r giving up too much for Rondo. And the rest of the trade dont make us better or worse, just evens us out.

Im not knocking on your trade, honestly didnt know you were joking. Just thought it was another fan who was at home seriously making up trades that they honestly think will help the team- happens a lot on here

This is why I said Kmart and Scola need to step up to increase or seemingly increase their value so we get more then what they are worth.

I'd wait till the end of the season to see. Lowry is playing at a superstar level at this point. If he can sustain this, I'd say he is as good as what you expect from a top 3 pick, so I wouldn't trade an Actually for a Potential.

If he comes back down on earth, then yeah, I'd package him for one of the top picks. See this is the dilemma. No team would take him for the top picks if he's not really that good. But if he's that good, why would WE want to trade him?

Remember, Lowry so far has surprised everyone EVERY year with his improvements.

All those trades woulld get rejected except the meeks deal..

Anyways, I wouldn't hesitate to trade Lowry for a top 4 pick.
