That is a good point, however if he is not getting it done offensively in the postseason....and we already know he's a iso chucker and terrible defender. ...then what is he good for to keep?

Well he did suck during the playoffs last year too for the Rockets. I still love Harden, but it sucks that he is so bad on D and hasn't been any good for the Rockets in the playoffs.

Since when does Westbrook play with Lebron?

However, you'll find that the NBA will be pushing Durant as the best player in the league and I think it's already decided that OKC will win this year to push that narrative.

When's the last time a player has single handedly made his team relevant, and fans want to trade him less than 2 years later?

He most definitely is the best scorer in the league. Lebron is just such a monster in all fecets of the game, he will be very hard to surpass.

    It doesn't matter.

There is no better chance out there available to get us to a ring.

We live and die by Harden for the next 8+ years.

Yeah, he's also only 24, people like to give up on players really quick it seems. Can you imagine if people had given up on Lebron or MJ at 24? How about if the Rockets gave up on Hakeem at 24?

Harden is already the best SG in the NBA and he's only going to get better.

I agree. I voted yes but only because of the way the question was worded. If it said " Would you trade Harden in a realistic scenario" I would have voted no. But i would obviously trade for Lebron, Durant, and maybe a couple more.

I want Harden to be my favorite player. I really really want the national media to make story after story on how horrible Harden's defense is and how he will never be great because of his defense just to motivate him. Hopefully that will cause him to mature and make a better effort on defense. No matter how bad it is we are still miles ahead of where we were before getting Harden.

We don't "want" to trade him. I took the question as whether or not he is considered off-limits. Lebron James is the only person in the league I would consider off-limits.

Exactly what I was asking. If we had Howard and Melo, would Harden still be off-limits?

I don't see any reason we'd want Melo.

I'm don't see much reason to trade Harden ever. I would especially not trade Harden to accommodate acquiring Melo in any way shape or form.

Harden is infinitely better than Melo. He's better at getting his teammates involved. He's better at just about everything.

What's great about Harden is that he's already so good, and he's only 24 years old. Room and time for growth. That's awesome.

If people actually read the previous posts they would realize they are already stating things already said 3 times.

    He's 24, we understand
    Is he off limits? No
Do we want to trade him, I wouldn't like to be because he has potential if he 'gives' effort. You don't get effort with time....it's something you have. A coach shouldn't have to notify you, you are the captain.

The point is unless you would be getting a Durant or Lebron in return, he effectively IS off limits.

Still ludicrous to me, obviously those players will not be let go and why would they trade for harden to begin with?

If you believe harden is as good as those two because of his efficiency numbers then that is a sad reason.
