heh, you are so reliably wrong about everything Harden related it's funny. NBA predraft measurements are pretty much identical, with a slight advantage to Harden in many categories (other than Body fat, lol...) Jimmy Butler - 2011 6' 6" 6' 7.75" 222 6' 7.5" 8' 5.5" 5.4 9 9 32.0 11' 1.5" 39.0 11' 8.5" 14 11.92 3.15 NA 30 James Harden - 2009 6' 4" 6' 5.25" 222 6' 10.75" 8' 7.5" 10.1 0 0 31.5 11' 3" 37.0 11' 8.5" 17 11.10 3.13 NA 3 Not like it freaking matters anyway though? Nick Young/Swaggy P can outjump both of them, who cares?
Let's just ignore Harden's 'weight gain' controversy. Oh is that conjecture also or does his former coach also share the same sentiments? Harden lost a large share of his athleticism from when he was 20. How many dunks has he had this season? He barely elevates anymore on lay-ins.
Yes and his lack of stamina to play both sides of the game which being in optimal shape would help significantly. Lack of dunks is a symptom. Conserving as much energy as possible by playing his 'zone' style defensive is also a symptom. But hey, keep on being a nut-hugger.
Is the only thing you are capable of on the BBS is involving other posters who aren't at all involved in the discussion. I mean look at you. You have quotes of other posters in your signature to fulfill your self-absorbence.
has he? Well great, he also became one of the most elite players on the planet while doing so. If you actually look at the most athletic players by pre-draft measurements, most of them are scrubs you never heard of. It really doesn't matter, also something that doesn't matter - arguing with an idiot who responds with "nuthugger" every time something doesn't match up with his version of reality.
Say literally anything in defense of James Harden = "nug-hugging" Care about how much dunkzzzz Harden has = rational Got it
Your version of reality is that James Harden's conditioning and weight is A-OK when he is quite literally one of the worst defenders in the entire league precisely because he exerts as little energy as possible on that end of the floor. And I'm the idiot. Like I said before, his lack of dunks is a symptom. See, my perception is backed up with actual evidence from his former head coach. While you are clinging on to wishful thinking of your infallible Harden. James Harden at best is an 'elite' offensive player. He is not an 'elite' player. That implies some level of competency in the other half of the game. When a GM has to generate a roster on the notion that your sg is absolutely horrendous at defense, you have problem. James Harden's lack of athleticism is contributing to that problem.
Jimmy Butler is a much more valuable player as he plays offense and defense. James Harden is really good at flopping out free throws which inflates his offensive numbers, but his liability on the defensive end hurts more than people realize. So the Rockets should do that trade if possible, but I doubt the Bulls would make such a deal with the way their team is currently constructed. Rose and Harden together would not work well.
A staple of vocal minority of harden hating morons: if you take away the things he does well, he's not that good A syllogism of deep and profound genius.
My version of reality is that James Harden is in good enough physical condition to create more points on the basketball court than any of the 7 billion human being on planet earth for the last ~2 years. This is the reality that you live in, that you wish you could "nuthugger!" away. You cannot. Why don't you find another team or something? That Gordon Hayward probably doesn't stay out late.
I understand the current frustrations with Harden. Still, IMHO, there's (rightfully) no way we trade him this season.
Butler is going to Dr. James Andrews for a 2nd opinion on his knee. Hope there's nothing serious, but I don't think any good news ever comes out of going to the ACL guy. Another case of Thibs' overuse of minutes finally catching up? http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...-getting-second-opinion-knee-dr-james-andrews
^^^ btw, I'm aware Thibs isn't the coach anymore. I remember Butler playing entire games when he was coaching.
Hell no, I wouldn't trade Harden for a healthy Butler. Why would you trade Harden for an injured Butler?
Harden is a deceptively great athlete, look at his combine numbers. http://www.nbadraft.net/2009-nba-draft-combine-analysis
