I respect you. You want the best for the team. I think Stone should retain Green. TF has praised Green. I believe he will make further progress.
Thanks Saleem. I appreciate that. I never really expected much of a turn out on this one but thought there might be some people out there who would think there were two can't miss prospects at the top of the draft, especially with the length and skill set of some of these guys. Namely, Holmgren, Smith and Banchero and given how much some people are torn between Holmgren and Smith, I thought what if you could have both? It's pretty obvious, NO ONE is willing to part with Green for any of these guys, which I get, he's seen as a sure thing at this point. I bet if I asked in January the responses would have been split a little more evenly. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
Even MJ could be traded. Is it wise or would a GM do that. No. Not until he is washed. Can we talk about trade scenarios? Absolutely. Goes without saying and nobody's Jordan here. Freedom of speech etc.
The 20 year old kid who was dropping 30 efficient points on bad to average teams to end the season and doesn't even have a feasible NBA body yet? Same guy with the most 3pters in a month of any rookie in NBA history? They invited this shooter to the All Star game dunk contest and rookie game? Drives to the rim fearlessly, dunks like a monster, excellent touch on his midrange game? Yeah I'll keep that guy, thanks.
I don't see any surefire prospects apart from possibly Ivey. The development of a shooting guard is relatively easier than any other position. I'm pleased with Green's hard work and effort. He's starting to shine now. I expect him to get better. He will undergo bumps like anyone else.
I dont think either team does it at this point. They were really 1A and 1B in terms of draft status. Mobley was the clear #3. I'd say Giddey is #4.
Bump. Would you trade him plus #4,3,2.. say for Wemby? I probably send KPJ and Gordon too. Who knows, but I bet some people have 2nd thought on it.
