only if Dwight made clear to Morrey that he won't resign and that he will not take a discount.
Then I would do this trade because Dwight anyway would leave for nothing, but I would try to flip Love elsewhere esp to Boston. For lets say Bradley + Smart+ Boston 2016 first.
A team with Harden and Love as its two main stars will never ever win a championship. You can't have two such horrible defenders as your cornerstones.

Other than being subjective on Dwight, I'd say that the comments about Harden seem to be coming true.

Seems like a lateral move at best. I would decline

We'd do it, Cleveland would definitely not. 2 expirings for 5 years of Love?

You may be right, Howard would complement the Cavs so well. Filling most of their weakness.

Love is a super star that is being missused --> he is a punk ( stepped on Scola's head --> Scola such class for kicking his ass) I do not personally like Love but he is the best return we could hope for from Howard at this time - contract. Howard IMO should walk --> the Rockets are not serious about winning --> Harden & no coach. Lawson is a star point that can't play with Harden. It is all so silly. Howard should leave all this behind and go where he can help earn a ring.

Love has 4 years on $15M / per deal. VALUE. He is only 27 and capable of 20+points and 11 rebounds for years to come. He maybe the best power forward ever to be a Rocket. Hayes was a center for us, and Barkley was winding down.

If we put the right role players around him and Harden --> championship.

Today Howard > Love 2 years from now Love > Howard. Howard may want to play till he is 40 but father time always wins.

if Howard went to Cavs this year, they'd win the win.

While our already shoddy defense would get worse it does make sense to get an ideal stretch four who is closer in age and locked up contract wise next to Harden.

From the Cavs perspective Love isn't getting involved on offense anyway and Howard is appearing to accept being a rich mans Deandre Jordan.

The Cavs as currently constructed aren't beating the Warriors and the Rockets as constructed are first round fodder. Both teams making these moves does make sense.

If you did this and made a separate move to jettison Brewer or Ariza and Lawson you could clear enough cap to sign Durant.
