WRONG. This team needed a miracle and Harden being benched in a game 6 to just get into the WCFs. Then they pretty much got swept. What leadership?
I would trade him for 2 x #1 overall picks because that's the likelihood of acquiring someone better than Harden in the draft. Hasheem Thabeet was picked ahead of James Harden (#3 pick). Blake Griffin went number one overall, and that's not a step up from Harden. Tyreke Evans went 4th and that would be a disaster. The only way you make a trade is if you get something BETTER than James Harden. There are a handful of players as good as James Harden out of ~450 NBA players. Almost all of those people were drafter, and over a 10-15 years period. You would have to give me a shot at another James Harden AND another significantly good player for me to trade a superstar who still has 5-10 good years left. Marcus Smart and #4. Come on. Marcus Smart and 2016 #1 and 2017 top 3 >> now we can negotiate. We could easily get a 2016 top 3, a 2016 top 10 and a 2016 top 20 plus a young contender rotation player for James Harden. People don't know how good we got it. James Harden would start on 30 out of 30 teams.
I love James Harden BUT if they loose this series, we need to trade him!!! Golden State is a great team but to put together a team that can beat them, we need to have two things; guards and forwards with length, that can play on both ends of the court. I would trade him to Boston for Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum and (2) #1s. I can't see Boston co-existing with their current roster, they have too much. I would then go hard after Paul George and resign Clint Capella.
Kyrie Irving isn’t even playing right now. You better get Brad Stevens in that trade too. And get moved to the East.
For K. Leonard if he is healthy, in a second. Much more consistent player when healthy. Harden is an enigma. Leonard appears to be, but isn't, when he is on the court.
Yeah right, Kyrie is a stretch and then their future cornerstone Tatum? Rozier and Jalen are on the trade list way ahead of him.
I would just start afresh and get a better drafting team for the first round, what's the use of having injury prone players when we can draft our own star? Everyone is doing it, Les Alexander the old fool is gone! Get Fertitta on board! Some guys like Tatum or Mitchell are playing like stars from the start! I hear good things about Markkanen.
Lol at trading Harden for Simmons. There are plenty of better players I would consider trading harden for.
