o ya, what do yo mean by a higher percentage. You are saying he will shoot above 45 percent. Because francis for his first four years was shooting 44%.
Thanks for the encouragement. In little more than one half a season, L.James (18 years old) is transforming an average team into a playoff team. And in the last five years Francis has _______. Fill in the blank Mr. High Post Count.
ATLEAST FRANCIS CAN LEAD HIS TEAM ABOVE .500!!! Lebrons and the cavs suck. they are in the Leastern Conference, and are struggling to make the playoffs. The rockets this year are set to make the playoffs and are in the Superior conference. And in francis's first years he leads the team above .500, canyou say that about lebron.
The only reason the Rockets ARE going to the playoffs this year IS because of Steve Francis. Don't kid yourself for a momment on this one. I guarantee if you take away Steve from this team right now, the Rockets wouldn't have the 9th best record in the Western Conference by seasons end.
haha... i don't really hate dallas but yeah if that trade went down it would suck for them. i would definitely DEFINITELY trade for Nash. I would definitely NOT trade for any of the other players. bibby is overpayed and overrated, i hate talking smack about him so much but everyone thinks he's awesome. well i'd like to see how good he is not on the kings first. marbury is the same player as francis. streaky shooter, though less hops is maybe more explosive because he's stronger. but he's penetrate and dish all the way. New York is actually the idea place for him not houston. davis... shot 50% from three earlier this season and took that as a green light to shoot 10 a game. do we need a pg that leads the league in three point attemps and only shoots 39% from the field. that said though davis may be a better playmaker than francis but too many negatives. hinrich is young and talented, but also unproven. i actually don't like any of their other peices. curry doesn't rebound and is lazy, chandler is high energy but injury prone and hasn't really developed. sounds crazy but i think kwame brown may become the best of the three after all.
dont know if your are being sarcastic. But u think we are going to the playoffs just b/c of francis? my a@@.
It depends who we had for him. I think most players in the same league as Francis in terms of individual talent would make the Rockets a better team if exchanged for Francis. One possible exception is T-Mac. Though his talents are even greater than Francis I am not sure he isn't equally medicore in translating his individual talents into team success.
You do know that he got 8+ assists 2 out of 3 years in Vancouver when he got the minutes, right? In Sacramento he has to split time with Bobby Jackson and he doesn't get the ball as much when he is in the game. If Bibby got the PT and the ball domination that Francis had his first four years, you better believe he would get a MINIMUM of 8 assists. Bibby has shot 45%+ 4 times. Francis has shot 45%+ 1 time, Bibby has shot 37%+ from 3 4 times, Francis 1 time. That is what I mean by shooting at a higher percentage.
All kidding aside, I know you really believe that, and you have a right to your opinion. But I don't believe that. Francis' performance this year has very "average." In most cases, I think he actually "bogs" down the offense. If only M.Jackson were younger and had a jump shot, because on several occasions he has looked better at the point than Francis. Plus, there are journeyman players in this league who if they got the min. and the shots Francis gets, they would do just as well if not better. And I have a right to my opinion as well.
francis is more powerfull, can go by his man easily, can go aboce the rim, and created more attention from the defense(not this season).
I'd do that in a heartbeat. Nash is a lot better than francis. Nash is smarter too. He'll take it to the hole and will dish it out if there's no shot. Francis will take it to the hole and will force up a bad shot or turn the ball over. The rockets are the worst team in the league at the fast break cause Francis doesn't know how to pass. The always knowledgeable Bill Walton can back me up on that statement.
My top 4 wish list looks pretty much like Gater's, but I think a GM would get fired if he dealt Kidd straight up for Stevie. The chances of getting Nash or Bibby would pretty much depend on what happens in the playoffs. I.e., if the Kings win the whole thing, they aren't likely to trade a core player. OTOH, Dallas will likely take a step backwards in terms of title hopes, so only Dirk is probably untouchable there. The Hinrich option is the most intriguing: obviously a much larger gamble than the others, but the upside seems huge both in terms of Hinrich's own potential and his fit with the Rox.
