Giannis has sucked in every playoffs not just last year. One year the team that was gonna sweep his ass got decimated and he squeaked by in 7. Pretending THAT guy is good in the playoffs is hilarious

You only have to succeed once, and all your failures are forgiven.

Dirk and Giannis would be jokes without their sole rings, while Harden and CP3 would be praised as legends of the game had they succeeded just once.

Yeah, if I'm an NBA GM, I avoid at all costs being on the other end of a Daryl Morey trade.

And we're not gonna win with the squad we have now...let's be honest, Sengun and Jalen Green ceiling is not a Superstar level. I continue to see the reoccurring posts of "Sengun is a rising star" and "This is Jalen Green year". What will happen is when it's time to renew their contracts, we'll overpay for a "Role player" like VanVleet...we don't have anyone on our team that can just dominate a like Embiid, who is a Superstar that unfortunately had a crappy #2 in Ben Simmons and James Harden...Philly messed that team up when they traded Jimmy Butler and gave that horrible contract to Tobias Harris.

He's literally the biggest statistical underachiever in playoff history.

What is one of "best players in the league" going to do in a team full of 20 year olds?

Maybe Philly is a cancerous environment and Embiid coming to a market like Houston could attract other marquee players...now that Morey's reputation is being questioned, most certainly think Embiid will want out as well very soon

So you want team "30 year olds about to go in their downward part of their careers who never got rings assembled" team?

Nah I'd rather create young core of players we drafted together. Feels a lot more special than way.

The last thing I want this organization to turn into is the Brooklyn Nets.

To some degree this is true, but dirk was mostly an excellent player player while giannis is.....not. But in general of course most people are morons so you're correct.

As bad as Harden played in game 7 he carried the Sixers to two wins against the Celtics. It should have been enough to win, but Embiid did not show up at all.

I have no idea if Sengun or Green or anyone is gonna be a super star. But I'd rather just give them a chance and watch them develop than get Embiid.

Embiid in the playoffs makes Harden look like prime MJ

a trade for Embiid is a trade for going all in, and he just ain’t got it

I haven’t even gotten into how injury prone he is

    I’m good

Clutch doesn't post that much these days...but...50 % of posts (1 out of 2 haha) in August discussed trading Sengun and 1 out of 6 in July mentioned someone talking about starting Jock Landale and benching Sengun. :D

I guess at least that's not happening now.

Not too late for the prediction of Sengun being shopped this summer becoming reality though.

I'd trade for a box of cooked noodles before Joel Embiid, because they are less floppy.

Idk what's funnier, not being willing to give up a guy who's not even on the team for the reigning mvp, or needing kpj's ok to trade him for the reigning mvp

Sengun, Cam, KPJ, Brooklyn picks … but Morey would probably want more.

A trade wouldn’t even work until after Dec. 15, if Sengun starts year 3 at an all star level I’d rather just keep Alpi

MVP has little meaning to me on a team with no spacing.

Jokic, Embiid, KAT, Giannis can all dominate a regular season game
but the Playoffs is a different animal.

Jokic is the first true big man to win a championship in 23 years.

It took previous playoff teams like Utah and T-Wolves to gut their
teams and destroy what they had. Utah trading Donavon Mitchell
and Gobert....T-Wolves added Gobert and sent out talent. Suns
traded out Malik Bridges and Cam Johnson. Spacing lost as
Durant and Booker became a two man show as CP3 did his
annual disappearance act in the playoffs and Ayton was blasted
by Monte Williams last playoffs as being an issue.
    -------------

I believe last year was an anomaly as the Warriors had Poole - Draymond
issues in the form of "The Punch".....then Poole got his extension
which made Draymond a discontent. Dray no longer put out on
road games. Lakers - NBA tried to help the Lakers by letting them
get Rui Hachimaui, Beasley, DeAngelo Russell, Bamba for nothing.
Fortunately the Lakers couldn't prosper and the team was too
thin and AD/LeBron got too tired.
    -----------------

    Rockets without 3-pt shooters renders
VanVleet offense irrelevant if teams are packing the paint

Dillon Brooks defense is irrelevant if teams pack the paint
and he still shoots 39% in FG%.

Jalen Green offense is regulated to jump shooter again if
the team lacks 3-pt shooting. Forced to be a chunker, again.

    KPj
offense is regulated to jump shooter again if
the team lacks 3-pt shooting. Forced to be a chunker, again

    Embiid
without 3-pt shooting will fall short of MVP as he
is forced to be a post up player surrounded by defenders
packing the paint. No reason to guard anybody on the
    perimeter closely.

Rockets will get approximately 90 possessions/game and both
Dillon and VanVleet will insist on taking 15 shots each.
Both being under 40% (FG%) like last year will be 1/3 of our
shots by these two players. Certain doom...so bring
your MVP. Hope you enjoy 8th seed. Same thing people
have been telling me, WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO AVOID.

KPj will do well with veterans that know how to play and with a coach
not in tank mode. Rockets let, Harden, PJ Tucker, McLemore,
Eric Gordon pick which team they wanted to go to....why not KPj ?

because kpj is a nobody who has done nothing.......

i'm against trading for embiid because we have nothing on the team that's ready to win except fvv, and he's not a good enough #2 to win a title so there's no purpose to trading for him. Although on the other hand, what are the odds anyone on the rockets is ever as good as joel? 5%? Even that might be a stretch

It’s just that simple isn’t it? I wonder sometimes how people even remember to breathe.
