JT  We had him once a couple of years back via free agent for he was playing out of his mind in Sacto, never paned out with us was a bench warmer and eventually got cut or waived if i am not wrong.

Not even for a 60th pick. The guys is hopeless and we already have one of those types in a guy named Jordan Hill.

His first 2 years were solid years, especially for a young player. Got his minutes reduced with the arrival of Landry last year, and Cousins this year. Before Landry got there, he was averaging something like 16 and 9 on the year. Solid player, but we don't need a power forward. They wouldn't give him up for Hill.

We have J-Hill until the season is over. He has an opportunity to show his game when he gets PT.

A lockout without a new CBA could give Hill even more time (a stay of execution) for him to put in work this summer on his total game before he is canned.

Hill is ...so not good at times...he can't help but show improvement if he puts the work in.

I think he has the drive to work hard and become a damn good player. He has all the tools...he needs the knowhow to put it all together, NOT JUST Bball IQ, he needs the muscle memory and techniques it takes to be good.

Boxing out on rebounds. Finding a mans body and getting between him, the rim and getting the ball. If he has you boxed out then you spin around him, pull the rug out or whatever it takes to get the ball without fouling.

Once you have the ball you have to know how to score it. Slam dunk. Pump fake layup. Baby hook shot....etc..

Suffice to say his over all game needs a lot of work, and I think he can do it.

Only time will tell and the clock started one second after this years trade deadline.

I'll keep pulling for the guy as long as he is a Rocket and gives it his best everytime.

Love Bogut and his play but not about to sell the farm for a guy playing with one arm right now. Scola/Thabeet and picks would be my best offer for Bogut. That might attract Milwaukee if there is a decent big like Kantor that slips down to our pick.

    yep.

King's fans have been dying for a center for many years, prior to Cousins. They never consider Thompson their answer. Patterson is definitely a better defender.

Exactly right. Thompson had plenty of time to develop and I wouldn't even want him coming off the bench. No, no, no.

Scola's better now. Patterson's will be better later. Heck, Hill could be better later, though I won't hold my breath on that. And he can't play C. Why do we want him?

I actually like the guy, but:

    (a) what makes you think he could be gotten on the cheap and
    (b) if he could then maybe I'm wrong and his upside has already been reached.

I would and my reasons are the same as when I entertained this before.

Thompson v Hill v Patterson v Hickson. Which guy has the bigger upside and which guy would fit better with Howard. Personally, I would rather have a thompson-howard-patterson combo. Yeah, I already traded scola and miller and I let Hayes go. The only way we would have a shot at howard and williams is with the moves made. I like the idea of always having a 6'11-7 ft guy on the floor. Thompson still has upsaide, has good polish on him already.

The guy is tall and has skills as well as athleticism. Whenever I see him play he looks good. Looking at his numbers now I see they aren't that impressive, but that doesn't really add up for me. I would definitely trade for him.

Unless that Bogut injury is some permanent thing, I would bet a lot of $ the Rockets don't have anything the Bucks would take for Bogut. It's not even worth talking about - yet I am......

We don't need Thompson. He is a decent finesse player, but Patterson's emergence plus the presence of Luis,Hayes, and to an extent of Hill makes him redundant.

Cuban has a great chance of locking him up. Tyson also said that he was interested in coming to Houston because of Yao.

I would like to see him in Houston too. I don't think it's likely to happen though.

Yao is probably done.....so I don't think Chandler is interested.

    I see the Mavs resigning.
