I wouldnt trade him for the Lebron right now Lebron defense is below avg, Cant finish at the rim, and his shot is too inconsistent, added with he handles the ball even more than Harden, those 2 would be a horrible fit right, If this was Lebron before this season then I would.
I would trade Dwight and a filler for Conley and M. Gasol Either way, it's not happening. Morey takes a huge hit in terms of attracting any free agents here if he trades Dwight.
If his injury keeps him out a long time, I'd seriously question committing max money to him after next season. If he comes back soon though and the Rockets pick up where they left off(they are 9-1 with him after all), why trade him?
I remember a thread before Howard's injury that was asking who the better MVP candidate was, Howard or Harden. Calm down people, we don't have to always keep trading anyone and everyone.
No. Not for anyone who would be available. Come on with that Durant/Davis/Lebron stuff, a trillion to one odds of that trade happening would be too high.
If Dwight still insists on exclusively having post up plays called for him and not focus on his strengths: defense, rebounds, blocks, pick n roll, putbacks, and improving his fts. He needs give dmo a chance to show if he can play efficiently and be productive as the main post up guy when they're playing together. Lebron, durant, Davis, cousins (one can dream right) or even both milsap and horford package since atl is d12s hometown
No, he is still the #1 Center in the NBA. Why? Because he's been to the finals and know what it takes to win. You don't get that from any other center in the NBA. He is hungry and he wants a chip, that is the kind of mindset we need, there is nothing for him to prove but to go out there and do whatever it takes to win. Howard is only 29 and I truly believe his best year is still be ahead of him if he can stay healthy.
Last summer right after the Rockets signed him, my old college roommate told me the Rockets should trade DH to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis. I told him he was an idiot and laughed it off. Now Davis is the only player, outside of Lebron and Durant, that I would even remotely consider. I'd trade DH for Davis in a heartbeat. Unfortunately we all know that this isn't even a remote possibility and far from the realm of reality.
Dont get angry little birdie. I was pretty clear I dont want him gone, its only a Hypothetical question, "if we HAD to trade him" Whats the best deal we could get? I assume most of us love having him around...
I see where the root of this is coming from... the better question is, would you consider benching Dwight in the 4th Qtr of games of lieu of D-Mo? and if so, how do you think Dwight would handle it?
There are a few players I'd trade Howard for .....but none of them are realistic or available. Aldridge & Marc Gasol , Cousins & Anthony Davis.
He has a clause in his contract that requires the Rockets to pay his full contract if they trade him... why would we trade him?
We traded a future Hall of Famer before but Les will keep Howard here until he retires or breaks down.
