No chance. DMo is showing the kind of skill level that is very hard to find at that oosition. Point guard is a very deep position in the NBA compared to big men.

Not many teams would want Jones. He had an injury that can reappear and he has to be paid next year. So teams will have to take a risk trading for him wasting their assets for someone who has been sidelined most of the year, can be sidelined anytime with the nature of the nerve injury AND will have to be paid soon.

Dragic would arrive with bird rights so Rockets could keep him.

If Morey only accepts a definitive team structure with 3 stars, he cannot prolong current situation -with a roster plagued of expirings and global uncertainty - much more. We have Harden and Dwight, we should be competing for a championship now, and this year we won't do it. Rockets can't allow themselves to keep waiting for the supermegaperfect move. Dragic fits very well. Go strong for him and bring him here, and lets compete with anybody right now.

    No, for two reasons.

    1. We could easily find an upgrade to Bev to be our starting point guard, we don't have to give up our only big man.
    2. We are too thin at the center spot. Dmo will only get better from here we must keep him at all costs. A young big man with post moves is an extreme rarity in todays game.

Dragic was a top 5 PG last season, and he could be again.

this is the final piece morey is going for and that window to compete with anyone for a title will be open for the near future. people talking about player development later and how this or that young player may or may not continue to get better..that gets put to the side once a team is assembled to legitimately contend for a championship run. this is what morey has worked to build all these years and the final product is very close.

    Absolutely.

I say that in confidence with Dwight's health.

If management know that Dwight will no longer be serviceable then the answer is no.

Would be much easier to say yes, if Dwight was healthy.

This year there is no clear favourite (imo) to win it all. It is the most open championship race ever. Next year who knows what happens. Only sure thing is that Cavs would have more time to mesh together and same with Warriors. This is the best time to go all in.
Next year Dwight will be a year older anyway and who knows how his knee is.

The problem is Dragic's max. You can keep him but it will cost too much. It is a huge gamble.

If Dwight was a 100% I'd said yes. But Dwight is falling apart and Dmo is really our only low post scorer. Well he would be our only real low post scorer with a healthy Dwight.

This is not true at all. Once his nerve is healed, it's healed.

Yes, I'd trade the NOP pick, DMO and KPAP for Dragic and M Plumlee so we at least have a serviceable back up center.

right...like it's not known that nerve injuries have a tendency to reappear..
I'm sorry but Jones is at an all time low value wise right now.

If you have a problem like Peyton Manning where problems with your neck or spine are pinching nerves... then yeah, that is different.

But we are talking about a completely different issue. Once a nerve is healed, it's healed.

The doctor even said that when discussing Jones' injury.
