I'm glad you and the idiots that agree with you are not really in charge of the Rockets. The guy took eight shots today. Cuttino might be not be a top five shooting guard, but you bet your ass most opposing teams have to a game plan to stop Cuttino. He has seriously cut back on shots taken per game, improved his defense and has been really trying to get Yao involved. What more do you want from a guy that is probably among the lowest paid 2 guards in the game. If you were to call another team during draft day and offer them Cuttino Mobley for a bunch of low draft picks they would kiss your freakin feet. the
I meant like blockbuster trade. Trading for an established superstar. Last one I remember was Barkley. Pippen was a free agent if I remember correctly. Francis was a rook at the time, not a huge trade (although looking back, biggest trade we've made recently) Eddie is still developing,
If he's such a great defender and rebounder, how come he is the 3rd string SF. Hedo is a decent player, but right now he's a poor mans Peja at best. That's why he doesn't get hardly any playing time.
Turkoglu doesn't get any PT because his team is completely stacked. Ultimately, I think Turkoglu is probably a slightly better player than Mobley is. However, I don't think he's quite quick enough to play the 2. So, if we did a trade like that, we'd have to commit to either finding a starting 1 (and move Francis to the 2) or finding another true 2 guard (Boki doesn't seem quick enough either for the 2).
A good PF as well as SF? I remember during the summer there was talking of letting Hedo play a lil point when Bibby went down so he could get more PT but i'd get killed in the west playing PF
I would rather have bobby Jackson! that guy is playing in MVP level before Mike Bibby reuturns, hey, maybe I would rather have him than Mike Bibby
Well, let me put it this way. Hedo is a good SF, but he is 6'10" so that he may be able to play PF sometimes despite the fact that he is a natural SF.
Yes, he took only 8 shots today. But ONLY today! He took 15 shots per game this season. It seems that he really shot less these days, but it's because the offense has run through Yao more and so he didn't get the CHANCE to shoot as before instead of not INTENDing to shoot. This is entirely two different things. And I didn't see his intention to get Yao involved. I just see him dribbles, turns a blind eye to his teammates and shoots! Well, I admit that he is athletic and a good defender sometimes. But this is never a reason for not trading somebody. We trade because the team after the trade will be a better team before, not because the traded players are not good players. This is incredibly simple concept rite? Yes, he has a low pay. But as a Rox fan, our ultimate aim is to support Rox to the championship, not to get the players with good production and low pay. Do you see what I mean? Yes, most opposing teams have game plans to stop Cuttino. But is this also a reason not to trade a player? So why did Lakers trade Eddie Jones and Nick van Exel? Why did Sixers trade Jerry Stackhouse? Why did Pacers trade Jalen Rose?...... In addition, I just said this is not a bad idea to trade Mobley for some draft picks, not LOW draft picks. I just think it worths re-consideration, instead of denying it all the way as you "non-idiot" did. OK?
Sorry, typing mistake: We trade because the team after the trade will be a better team THAN before, not because the traded players are not good players.
Mobleys stats.. 3/8/03 Nets 7-15 18 pts 3/12/03 Clippers 8-16 23 pts 3/14/03 Bulls 4-8 13 pts 3/16/03 Suns 5-10 13 pts 3/18/03 @ Sonics 6-16 16 pts 3/19/03 @ Blazers 5-12 12 pts 3/21/03 @ Warriors 8-17 26 pts 3/23/03 @ Kings 3-8 11 pts nearly or just under 50% shooting only by 1 or 2 shots each game for the last 8 games.... not bad for a guy earning around 5 mil a year.... yeah lets just ship him off for draft picks..
First, name the first thing that comes to your mind when I say "the reason for the Kings' success is...". Next, Cuttino Mobley has attempted more FG's this season than any King except Webber. Cat has taken more 3's than any King except Peja. Last, the Kings already have a SG who is cheaper than Cuttino and puts up similar numbers on a per minute basis - Jim Jackson (Cuttino plays 2x minutes so just double Jackson 7.7 ppg, 1.7 apg, 4.2 rpg plus JJ is 47.1% from the arc). Conclusion - why would the Kings want Cuttino?
I agree with this. Cuttino is not a bad player. His style of play (1-1, iso, ...) just does not fit well with the Rockets any more. Further more, to stay with the Rox, he has to cut back on his shots/ production and still the other Rox have to cut back on their shots/ production. It does neither party any good. Keep in mind that the Jalen Rose's trade benefits both him and the Pacers. One more thing. ROckets03 should quit calling people who disagree with him idiots because the jury is still out on who that is!
Hedo Turkoglu?? Hell no. We should be able to get a better player than that.. and why do we want another sf anyways?? Anyways, we have Nachbar, who will be better than hedo.
