it was suggested in another thread that we turn this one into a DMo thread. I'm all for it, who else is in?
Hell no. Maybe if they throw in an unprotected 1st and the Bucks sink to top 10 and we really don't want to pay Capela the money he will command in FA and Montrezl develops into his own. Even then, no. That said, Maker, Giannis, and Middleton have a lot of length and the Bucks could be nasty if he develops and they get healthy.
Yes his play of this year, last year and the playoffs before that were all purely flukes. Capela has proven no ability to be a solid center in this league. Despite his finishing ability, his rebounding, shot blocking and athleticism he's still all fluke and has peaked at the age of 22 with about 1.5 seasons of play under his belt. I can say these things out of my ass because I'm HOLLIC and I use CAPS!
He's proven to be a genius 1st round pick by Morey, 'holic, the 25th selection in his draft, and considering how he had been playing pre-"i" word, Mr. Capela is someone a lot of GM's would give their left-handed b*stard child for. In my humble opinion. In other words, this commodity has proven himself enough to make this long time Rockets fan excited about his future. I'm hoping that that future will remain with the Rockets.
Holic believes capela is basketball dumb and therefore has limited upside. He also believes that Switzerland has questionable birth certificates.
Ah! It's the Swiss connection he's concerned about. That, and intelligence. I should have guessed. 'Holic, there are basketball players in Switzerland, and the Swiss are hell on wheels when it comes to passports and the like. If Clint plays basketball, and clearly he does, and says that he's Swiss, and he has a Swiss passport, then the odds are excellent that he's a Swiss basketball player. As for his intelligence, the Swiss educational system is one of the best in the world. The chances are good that Clint has an actual functioning brain. No kidding!
bbhollic is ignoring most comments and then sniping out tiny excerpts from posts hoping someone will slip up. Like na man you dumb
He was a quality rotational player for the majority of last season and has been an above average starting center for roughly one-third of this season. The sample size is large enough at this point to say he's a competent NBA center. Maker's sample size isn't large enough to determine if he's even worthy of a roster spot.
No but I might trade him for some combination of Ricky Rubio, Spencer Dumbwiddie and Joshua Harrellson
