    Nah, I wouldn't.

Ellis wouldn't be a good fit.

He's gotta learn to ride his moped before DM extends a contract.

Ellis for 10 mil is totally not worthy, bad contract for a bad players, if Brooks has the freedom to take whatever shots he like, he would avg close to 25 a game too. It is the system that make their avg looks so good. Watch the game, not the box scores

Sure, I'd trade Brooks for Ellis.

And while we are at it...

I'd trade Carl Landry for Dwight Howard too!
Oh, and I'd move Lowry for D-ron.
And trade Hayes for Chris Bosh

    Get it done Morey!

All we need is for DD to praise all our upcoming opponents and we win the championship!

I'd want Ellis if he is on a similar contract as Brooks', not this bloated one.

If we are basing this just on talent then I would have to take Ellis.

I'm a huge Brooks fan but Ellis is just as good on offense, gives us size and is a lot better on defense.

One thing I'd like to point out is that Ellis may not be as good a fit for Yao as Brooks is. Even Brooks sucks at making post entry to Yao, he at least is a pretty good 3pt shooter, Ellis is not. Ellis excels at attacking the basket, with Yao in the paint he may not have as much space to operate.

A fair point, but Ellis can hit the mid range pocket shots too.

He is just better....but I am happy we have Brooks.

NO...I never never NEVER wanted Jackson, you can look it up, not once did I want that malcontent on this team.

Now Maggette, yes, he is an efficient player that is paid at a decent rate for his production.

Before last night's game, I probably wouldn't do that trade. Why? Ellis isn't 13x better & is a head case. AB has a much better bb IQ & is a team player.

But last night, when the Rockets proved Chuck Hayes could guard Monte Ellis; that made it a definate "NO TRADE"!

Yeah for 16+ ppg and about 50% shooting, it sure is.....he averages 1.5 points per shot which is top ten in the entire league.

Efficiency is his game.....and he would fit in great here.

And, if we break Tmac's contract into two $10 million dollar ones it opens up more trading flexibility.

    DD,

Now is the time to stop this Maggette nonsense. The man can be singled out as the reason the Warriors lost both games against the Rockets this year. His defense is horrible and he is a chucker. His only valuable skill is getting to the FT line.

Crazy. Try watching him outside of a Rockets game. Although he shot 33% last night, he is still shooting 46% for the season so far. That is better than a number of stars and superstars in the league. He didn't win the Most Improved Player Award by mistake!

I'll give him that he is efficient but he also doesn't pass the ball which wouldn't work well here in a motion offense.

144 voted No. Do not understimate the Brooks family here in Texas. they're everywhere. :)
