Would you trade Battier for Rashard Lewis?

Further frankly, since many of my fellow Clutchfan colleagues believe that Rashard Lewis is going to cost at least 10 million to 12 million a year, I would, for that price, rather pursue Chauncey Billups. He brings everything Rashard Lewis can do to the table, and he can quarterback the team and he is also a strong defensive point guard. A Billups-McGrady guard tandem is one freaking scary prospect. If Battier and Yao can stay on, then I would agree that we are contenders.

FYI Gerald Wallace is not a Power Forward.

Billups was pretty much a journeyman before he found a home in Detroit. Now tell me this, why would he give up everything that is going for him in Detroit. He has the freedom, and he has real chemistry with his teamates. I dont see him bolting like Big Ben did last year. I think Detroit will do whatever they can to keep him. They dont have options other than Billups, like they did with Wallace.

Gerald Wallace has been playing at the PF position recently for the Bobcats, with Walter Hermann taking up the SF position.

Re Chauncey Billups, same thing as Ben Wallace. How much do the Pistons value him. Does he think he can go anywhere further with his old team (if they do not win the championship this year). Does he want a fresh direction? Are there any hidden issues that the public does not know of?

Don't forget that Ben was the PILLAR of Detroit. He was and is still very close to many of the current players. Yet, he left after he fel that Detroit did not value him enough. I am curious to see what would happen with Chauncey.

In the event however, that Chauncey does decide to leave Detroit, then I strongly hope that the Rockets put in every effort to pursue him (and keep Battier in the process). I forgot to add that Chauncey has very good leadership skills. That is an 'intangible' factor that this team severely needs, and Chauncey can provide it.

I think it is pretty much understood how good Chauncey is. I think any team would love to have him,
