I suggested Rondo in your other thread. He could really help this team

No it isn’t a broad range. His “system” isn’t being ran in the playoffs by anyone.

Why just two? He can’t shoot since he was born. It should be ‘Sengun can’t shoot from distance for 21 years.’
Sengun played his first nba game 13 months ago.
When it is kpj, who is in his 4th season, ‘he has not even played one year as a guard’ so we should be patient so that he increases his never changing shooting efficiency.
Lol! You are a clown and hater.

I agree we have yet to see him in the playoffs, spamming 3s isn't going to work that well there.

This is all gonna depend on the draft tbh.. best case scenario imo would be..
    Wemby
    Jabari
    FA/Trade or KPJ
    Jalen
    KPJ or FA/Trade
    And the bench…
    Tari
    KMJ
    Sengun
    Tate
    Veteran PG
Some of these guys are possible trade pieces

It was a below average game for Alperen but he and KMJ are playing better all season in limited sample size than Jabari.

Both are here to stay IMHO.

I would give Jabari 5 years but KJ Martin is out playing him in every way.

Sengun shot well to start last season. I've noted he was over
40% from 3 in either his first 25 or 20 games.

If he could regain that.....that would be great. Sengun could be used
much like Kleber is used. Plus about 6 post up plays a game.

My issue is Sengun is too golden in the eyes of his fans. Imo Robert
Williams, Looney, Kleber, Dwight Powell, Porzingis set screens off the
ball when they are not setting screens for our facilitators.

This is why I would push more for Bruno and now Garuba to start.
Team needs big players willing to do the dirty work. Much like
    Looney and Robert Williams.

At this point I'm not sure Sengun won't.....team is still too raw
and Silas said prior to opening night that they are incorporating
players to the plays. Some of those layers are Sengun setting
a screen for Green or KPj and then moving to set a screen for
someone off the ball like Kenyon or EG or Jabari or the
    other Green/KPj.

What I know for sure is, Sengun only fans will have a fit and be
furious to see Sengun used in such a manner. "How dare them
have Sengun set screens for the peasants....doesn't Silas know
    Sengun is the King?"

I'd trade the whole team. Nobody's been that good so far this year

The Rockets 1 chance at respectability in the next 3-5 years is playing for Boulogne right now.

He seems much closer to being the franchise level star that no current Rocket has much of a chance at.

The rest are all "nice to haves" unless something dramatic and low probability changes

SIlas's system only works with out of this world iso players like Luka Doncic and Harden and even then there are issues. He obviously is not a good coach other than if your goal is to lose. Trading Sengun because Silas is beyond clueless about how to use him makes no sense. Sengun is good enough to see how he works with a competent coach. Silas will not be the coach long term unless the goal is to try for the #1 pick every year rather than winning a championship. The only players I would trade would be Gordon, and possibly Christopher with Nix, Mathews, and Boban as fillers if needed. I would even consider trading KPJ for the right deal although I think he would make a heck of a 6th man. The rest of the young guys have the makings of a solid core with a ton of potential if they are used right. Short of trading for Doncic (which is not happening) we should keep the young guys until they can be evaluated under competent coaching.

Rescue him from the couch like what they did for Gerald Green.

I didn't see high frequency in isolations for that Mavs 2019 team but I'll refresh
    my memory on that.

This year with Bari-Tari added is about teaching this group to play with
one another.....not just catering to Sengun.

Its more about getting our Facilitators practice vs live
    NBA quality competition.

    Pick-n-Roll
    Pick-n-Pop
    Handoffs
    Isolations

The fact that Jabari and Sengun have not been hitting 3's
and supplying much needed spacing hurts much like
last season.....the 3rd and 4th defenders camped out in
the paint will unfortunately will hopefully make them
better at the tasks when consistent knock down
    3-point shooting develops.

The whole purpose of playing Mathews and EG is to
provide some spacing.....but their defense is suspect.
    6'3" SF's has his limitations vs the 6'7" SF's.

Harden and Doncic each started at some point developing their skills.
Harden dabbled in facilitation while at Arizona and coming off the bench
    while with the Thunder.

Doncic started playing at what, age 16 in Europe? Imo Dirk helped
him develop the leg kick fade away. Doncic already came into the
league polished for the most part.

I've noted in the past how many turnovers Harden went thru
when he initially started with the Rockets. His USG%, turnovers,
TOV%, and how Lin was asked to be a spot shooter as Harden
tried to facilitate. There was some tug-a-war there, and Lin had to go.

Those days were different, now defenses are so much smarter. Fewer amount
of 3-pt shooters along the perimeter vs nowadays. Teams use to stay close to
the few 3-point shooting bigs that were in the league. Nowadays teams defend
    differently.

Edited: ok Dallas in 2019 was 9th in isolations. But let's not confuse 7.1
possessions per game in isolations as close to the Rockets (#1) with 22.6
    possessions in isolations.
    https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/isolation?SeasonYear=2019-20

Many here make it sound like the Rockets are devoting 30 possessions
per game nowadays to isolations. Not the case.
Currently: Rockets are 11th - isolation (NBA percentile) & 22nd - post ups (NBA percentile)

Nope. I don’t want a faster growth. I want a solid sustainable growth.

The two who need to be traded are Gordon and Tate... but I don't think anyone wants them

See this is how I feel, I don't think we have that star player yet......the cornerstone, we have people that MIGHT become that, but more often than not you recognize star talent right away......at least all time great talent.

    @cml750

    In 19/20 Doncic was:
1 possession per game in post ups
    3.4 frequency.
    80.8 (NBA percentile)
    https://www.nba.com/stats/players/playtype-post-up?SeasonYear=2019-20

Doncic was 4.3 possessions in isolations....15 frequency....81.8 NBA percentile
    https://www.nba.com/stats/players/isolation?SeasonYear=2019-20

If Silas didn't milk that then.....why would he do it now?

Three of the top 4 players in the draft are PGs. If we don’t get Wemby, we will draft a PG. No need to give up anyone other than Gordon for one right now. Once we do that, we can sign a veteran for backup.

The only way I give up one of our recents draft picks is for an established PG who is 27 or younger and will be with the team for additional contracts.

Only guy who had a chance was Green but - his progress has not been at the level it should be for that to be true.

I mean, Paolo Banchero is further along the franchise savior path than Green at this point.

I'm not a Green hater either, I defended him all last year from the Corey Brewer clown crew.

I wouldn't do anything until Bruno gets back. The starting unit with him was clicking. Sengun is better when he is the focal point with the 2nd unit.

But if I had to make a trade at the moment, I would trade EG and/or Tate or Sengun for Myles Turner. I continue to say our problem arrives from a true paint presence on the offense and defensive side.
