Sorry but IMO I do think OD is a top 5 TE this year at worst top 6 and when its all said and done he could be right behind Whitten and Clark.

    Clark
    Whitten
    Gates
    Gonzalez
    ODaniels or Heath Miller

You do know he only had 2 TD's last year and both were against the win-less Lions... Pro-Bowls can be overrated. Especially when you have players drop out every year.

I think Cooley would be above Daniels and Carlson would be right with him.

Absolutely the dumbest thing I've heard. You want to trade Andre becasue he's getting older basically and you think this team is a DB away from what a superbowl, LOL. This team has too many problems on D including that god awful D line that no one other than Mario would make any other team let alone be starting in this league. you do not mess with a offense that was ranked #3 in yards last year and they should score more touchdowns this year to solidify their offense further.

To me its not quite a no-brainer everyday & twice on Sunday deal, not for players at the top in their position ranks. Would Minnesota trade Adrian Peterson for Mario Williams? But I'd consider it for sure.

Anectodal perhaps, but I remember years ago they mentioned Bill Snyder at Kansas State built up their program by starting from the cornerbacks on up. Maybe there's something to that cuz K-State was deplorable for decades before he got there.

But then why hasnt it helped the Raiders that much? :)

Synder brought in JUCO players. That had more to do with it. Also CB is the most neutered position in the NFL so that philosophy just isn't what it used to be.

He made the probowl because someone dropped out...he wasnt voted in. Also, thats just one conference...there is a whole other conference full of TEs as well.

Im not saying OD isnt a quality tight end, but I dont think he is in the top handful of them. In fact, I think if we didnt have AJ on the team, you'd see much less production from our TE slot.

ok, i'd agree, except our offense sucks too. shaub is not a starter. he's a great backup but not a starter. we should have drafted kalb.

I am debating whether youre a troll or if you are serious...Schaub when given the protection and the personnel is nothing short of phenominal. Accurate and smart. He is a terrific QB and would be wasting away on the bench for someone else. Who would you rather have? Croyle? Pat White? Orton? what about CARR?

At this point im sure the Raiders would trade Aso for Schaub right now to rid themselves of the worlds worst, highest paid (on par with Quinn), QB in the league. If you think Schaub is terrible please watch Leftwhich, Russell, Vick (when throwing), Alex Smith, Quinn, Edwards, Delhomme, Pennington, Cassel, J. Campbell and then come back and complain about Schaub.

I dont know why I just wasted so much time on this guy.

Another notch for the No's. Not to knock on the other receivers, but having a top tier WR allows them to perform better than expected. A 5'10" David Anderson would see a lot less passes without AJ to command the defensive attention. Kevin Walter, as good as he's been, would probably not do as well as any other team's second option.

Man I just don't get this board sometimes. Either the OP will make a convoluted poll that noone understands, or they will make a NON poll that would have been much better as a poll... GET WITH IT

    btw, F-NO

Honestly I thought about making it a poll but I really didn't think it was going to be as much of a yes or no topic as it turned out. I thought there would be more of a grey area in the discussion but I guessed wrong.

Plus I really never set up a poll so didn't know how or even if I could thus never explored the option after my initial thought.

I wonder why our Offense isn't a problem? oh yeah because of Andre. Get rid of Dre and then we have huge problems with our offense. He is the reason why OD and Walter get so many big plays down field.

Our pass defense hasnt been the problem either, our Run D has, before this game they had been allowing an embarrassing 206 ypg on the ground. Get some pressure on the QB and the pass defense become instantly better.

I wonder why our pass defense isn't a problem? oh yeah because teams don't need to pass the ball on us when all they need to do is pound it down our throat on the ground.

Trust me if opposing teams wanted to pass on us, (or NEEDED to bc we were run-stuffers) they very easily could. Our DB's are garbage.

    No. Silly stuff.

Andre isn't a RB, he'll be well into his prime in the 30s.
